I suppose to keep this in the DisplacedBuckeye mode, I should say "CSB".

You can say anything you like. How many people do you know that have what you claim to be "too many" firearms? I know several, and they they are more secure than Cabela's.

The point: my anecdotal evidence is better than your anecdotal evidence.

But more importantly if that's the case, what's the concern with occasional site verification.

What's the problem with being forced to open my home to the federal government for inspection?

Is that a serious question?

People shouldn't do that.

There, problem solved.

What does that matter?
Because unless the targets are wearing body armor, a muzzle loaded derringer can be lethal.

So come on. Out of those guns, which would do the most damage?
At 400 yards? Not your FN Five-seven pistol.

A muzzleloading Derringer can be lethal with body armor. Ban them.

If you know several with too many firearms, how do you define too many?

I didn't define it. You did.

Why are you putting up random situations? I simply asked which one would go through class 2 body armor. And which of those should be banned.

Although I do appreciate the Google to get the 5.7 correct. I do believe the secret service clue gave you that one.

A Dodge Challenger can be lethal with body armor. Are we suggesting we ban those too?

here is nothing that can stop an event like this. If someone wants to kill a bunch of people, they will find a way.

It can be made a lot tougher to accomplish and the number of potential deaths can be reduced.

In September 2004 the ATF decided that a 14 inch long shoestring was considered a machine gun:

Nah, but we should make sure that anyone who has more than 5-10 of them is thoroughly inspected by the DOT. Psychological profiling, interviews, tracking. All of it.

Are you not familiar with the #BanTransportationOver30MPH movement?

Well today is your lucky day mon frere.

Why do we as a society not even bat an eye at all the unnecessary deaths caused by speedy transportation in metal death traps? Let's be honest with ourselves. Vehicles kill more people than guns each year. They are deadly. They are unsafe. They are everywhere.

For all of our history we got by at the speed of a horse. Why are we so willing to waste away so many beautiful lives just so we can get from a to b quicker? That is so selfish of us.

Just because something can’t be eliminated 100% doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to curb it where possible. Imagine if we took that mindset after 9/11.

What makes you think gun owners would react differently?

Frankly, this is a terrible mindset, and you should be ashamed. I have a common sense approach to it all. If we all realize it's bad, but are holding on to not allow liberals to win, or push more, that's bullshite. We can't refuse to make things better because of that. It reminds me of military spending system, we may not need new supplies/items/equipment, but we will spend every penny of our budget just to ensure we get that same amount back next year, and that's wrong.

Completely different arguments. One is prevention of the gradual erosion of this nations peoples' ability fornsef governence.

One is a prime example of government waste
