Yes they are and when they couldnt buy the brand they bought Sunglass Hut, and threatened to "delist" Ray Ban and Oakley...then bought them both for a song.

On a sidenote, I lived in Orlando and Tampa eons ago and used to travel the state, you would see the tractor trailers on the highway (I believe Oakley had a factory in Plant City) frequently with Oakley emblazoned across the trailer. While very cool, I often wondered if the drivers were nervous hauling around millions of dollars of mdse, easily disposed of on the black market and you have a big sign on the trailer saying ....come and get me.
