both work for the swampy DOJ and Mueller attended both of his Daughter's weddings?....I like a lot about the guy, but this is very swampy.

Not at all. In fact, it is one of the main reasons I think Trump chose him. His credibility with the swamp is outstanding. It will be very tough to deny his findings/actions. Do you think Trump knew none of this when he appointed Barr?

He appointed Sessions and allowed the appointment of Rosenstein. I hope Barr comes in like the righteous hand of God but there is reason for concern. Gumbo, I got this impression as well, very disturbed that the dept and country he loved had become a politcal hack unit, and wanted to fix it.

Mary Daly is Barr's daughter. She was promoted from a federal prosecutor to head the Opiod Task Force by the Trump administration. It appears her role as a prosecutor was exclusively dealing with transnational drug cartels. These folks are generally far removed from the partisan nature of other DOJ roles, since prosecuting the Mexican cartels, Latin American cartels, Eastern European cartels and the Sicilian Mafia isn't a partisan issue.

is he deep state? well IMHO he is a card carrying member of the establishment but as of right now i get the impression he is a no nonsense follow the law or find another job type of guy who is more interested in taking all politics out of the DOJ and all other 3 letter agencies and returning them to being run by people of integrity that would never cover up or commit crimes for political reasons.
i could be misguided in my opinion of him but as of now im thinking he is the right man to clean up the DOJ but with that said im not 100% he wont allow most of all rats who want to head to the exits now a free pass unless they committed high profile offences such as the top tier guys who are going around admitting to crimes likes its something to be proud of
