Well due to his malignant narcissism he's pretty typically against everything that Obama stood for just to get back at Obama. I'd wager he doesn't actually care about abortion and really just wants to wealthy to keep more of their money and further his own business interests. If those are Republican ideals then I guess he is a Republican.

Oh, absolutely, but she'd attack Trump for outlawing abortion or abolishing the IRS or Dept. of Education.

Trump could do the most Republican things possible and she'd still be upset.

BUSTED: Ana Navarro Bankrolled Indicted Democrat Bob Menendez

Ana Navarro Gave Thousands to Liberal Democrats

She is a democrat faking she was a JEBOOSH republican. But it makes sense she supported Jeb! as he might as well be a democrat like McCain et al...

Didn't she get caught lying about saying she worked on Jeb Bush's campaign or something?

She worked for Heb’s transition team when he was elected in Florida and co-chaired McCain and Huntsman’s Hispanic advisory committees in 2008 and 2012 respectively. She supported Jeb’s candidacy in 2016. She’s from a family of Nicaraguan immigrants and she hates the Trump/Bannon insurgency in the party. Not that fricking hard to figure why.

She may or may not still identify as a Republican, but do you MFs know how to use google? I can set aside some time to do a tutorial.

I really believe a lot of people do not know how to define what a Republican is.

What is the accepted definition?

Damned if I know! But as long as it excludes racist like the KKK, the New Black Panthers, and BLM, and it excludes violently intolerant groups like Nazis and antifa, I can see it.

Good example of this is Jennifer Rubin attacking Trump for decertifying the Iran deal even though she shite on it multiple times and praised Rubio for doing everything he can to fight it.

Or Bret Stepens of the WSJ being a conservative and writing about how the 2nd amendment needs to be repealed after Trump said that he supports the 2nd amendment.

Trump derangement syndrome corrupts and can make one renege on beliefs that they once had.

Ana Navarro is worse than John McCain and not in the same universe as Ben Shapiro.

I came in this thread to agree on Navarro, who isn't even remotely Republican, but it's a shame you had to try and tie in Ben Shapiro, an unquestionably conservative and reasonable person, into this.

Absolutely not. She can't even hide it anymore. She just gets paid a lot of money by CNN to play the part of the "see real republicans hate Trump too"

I love Ben Shapiro's debates. His social media presence is often painful, though. He's great at calling out idiot celebrities like Chelsea Handler or Bernie, but he is a bitch when it comes to moving past bullshite political correctness.

For example, he's on Twitter right now joining Ana Navarro in criticizing Trump over the fallen soldier bullshite.

There are two kinds of Never Trumpers in my opinion.

One kind that treats opposing Trump as just it's simply about taste because they view him as distasteful, boorish and beneath their country club selves even though they may approve a lot of what he's doing with policy.

To the other kind of Never Trumpers, it's about opposing the civic nationalism that Trump and Bannon are in the process of installing inside the GOP and they oppose that because economic globalization, long held trade policies and interventionist foreign policy including cold war with Russia is their baby and Trump is on warpath agains all of that.

Jennifer Rubin and Navarro fit in both camps.

I don't see how. He made a reasonable statement (Trump should probably pony up with the proof now), Navarro responded fairly reasonably (Trump shouldn't pick fight with mom of the soldier) and Shapiro retweeted that.

I hate Navarro too, but think you're reaching on Ben here

Yeah, I disagree with Trump on several things, but crucifying a president for everything just because you hate him (and in her case, because she wants to remain in the good graces of CNN) makes you lose a lot of credibility. Same thing happened on this board when Obama was POTUS.

Ana Navarro is pro-establishment, having given to a lot to disgraced NJ senator Robert Menendez.

This board is a conservative board and Obama was a liberal President. Of course they were going to be opposed to him on almost every policy he supported.

Obama never had to deal with anything in his own party like Trump has to do with Never Trumpers in his own party.
