He is a Democrat that is not a socialist and does not like where his party is heading. He is very popular in Pennsylvania especially in Pittsburgh.

So another Independent that caucuses with the Dem's? He votes with the Dems, even when he doesn't like what Dems do.

It certainly seems the only logical conclusion based on his statements.
I wonder if he could get reelected if he switched sides. I don't know.....

God forbid someone wake up and change their minds and realized his party is full of America hating commies. How dare he!

No. We need him there. Kind of like Zell back in the day.

If he came out and explained the Democrat Party has been overtaken by Communists, then yes, he could get elected.

If he leaves the Dems, he’ll still vote like a Dem.

If he’s taken into the GOP, he’s the definition of a RINO.

That was before the commies took over and he was facing such hate and vitriol from those in his own party. I'm sure his position has changed and he's at least considering it.

He votes with them 90+% of the time. He's not leaving. Even if he did, he'd quickly be dragged.

frick him and those fooled by him. He would take your guns away for one. He always votes with those fricking commies too.

Just because he has a few differing opinions than those radicals doesn’t make him a good guy.

No wonder people stand at the corners asking for handouts there are always gullible people willing to give in to their schemes.

John Fetterman is a Democrat through and through. He’s actually kind of scary in the sense that he’s trying to pull the Democratic Party away from the extreme left / socialism, and if he’s successful, so will the Democratic party be.

Lose/Lose situation. The Democrats keep going crazy, and the Republicans probably continue to win for the long term. But you run the risk of their cheating overcoming the Republican votes, and American policies turn socialist.

We don't need any more neocons. That's how you become the Tories and we're already 3/4 of the way there.

No and I don’t want him to leave the Dems. We need a few sane ones left in that party to rebuild after we defeat this communist push.

He'd be foolish to do so.

As long as being a Democrat doesn't hurt his chances of being elected in PA, he can remain a part of the "team" but take stances moderate enough to keep Republicans at bay. In doing so, he can take the middle of the road and personally profit from it...just like Manchin did in West Virginia for so many years. While technically a Democrat, he wasn't in comparison to his Democrat colleagues. That allowed him to be a swing vote whose vote was very open for sale He eventually had to change to "Independent" because it got to a point where he could no longer be confident his name recognition could overcome West Virginia becoming a deep, deep, red state. Fetterman doesn't have to worry about that because Pennsylvania is nowhere close to as one sided.
