Do you completely agree with all parts of the Pledge of Allegiance?

I don't agree with the "indivisible" part and just leave it out.

I stopped saying it around 2008, when I realized that no matter which party held the balance of power, they didn't give a shite about what it says. I will stand and remain respectfully quiet, but I won't put my hand over my heart, and I won't mouth the empty platitudes.

Why should I "pledge allegiance" to the symbol of people who actively seek my destruction?

I bet some of these kneeling dumb-arse athletes can’t even recite the pledge of allegiance.

I completely agree with the Declaration of Independence. Everything that came after has failed to improve upon it.

Agreed, should be changed to "slightly opaque".

Absolutely not.

The Pledge of Allegiance is creepy as frick. Just another way government has indoctrinated society into believing in the supremacy of The State.

It is an ideal worth striving for. It is what the flag stands for.

If you want to quit, you may as well kneel.

While I have no problem professing my allegiance to the principles embodied in the US Constitution, I would prefer NOT to pledge allegiance to a piece of cloth. But the whole thing is pretty symbolic, so I don't lose any sleep over it.

The "under God" addition (at the height of the post-WW2 Red Scare) was entirely contrary to the founding principles of this nation, and I leave it out.

I have always thought it would be entertaining to utilize the original Bellamy Salute at a sporting event and to watch the reactions, but I always come to the conclusion that the entertainment value would not justify the furor it would cause.

Would be better if it included an allegiance to Christ, the king over all nations and peoples.

Then you admit that it is a symbolic act.

Do you lose sleep over your cognitive dissonance?

You DO understand that the Bellamy salute was OUR salute before the Germans and Italians stole it, right?

Probably not.

Then Congress pussed-out and surrendered it to them in 1942.
Total Brees move.

Look little man, I know you're desperate to impress people on this message board, but it's not working.

Please take your creepy, pervy, pretentious bullzhit somewhere else....you'll be happier with your own kind.
