Facial recognition software might very well get a hit on the guy.
It's possible the NYC cops already know the identity but haven't said so hoping they can catch the guy first.
If he's known and not in custody by Friday the news will be out and the manhunt started.

I would check border crossings to Canada at Buffalo and just south of Montreal
Guy could have caught a train out of Penn Station around 815 and be in Albany before 1100 am and could have caught a train to Buffalo and be at the border by dinner . He could head due north to Massena and easily cross there

I don’t know if they will. This guy was clearly brilliant the way he planned it. His only major slip up was showing his face to the girl at the reception desk. Luckily for him only part of his face is shown because of how the hood is covering the rest of it.
The DNA isn’t useful unless he’s been detained before and they already have his DNA on file. The fingerprint is smudged. He may not have his fingerprints on file anywhere either.
Their best lead is going to be finding cameras of all the bus stops from Atlanta to NYC and maybe spotting him getting on the bus.
