I think the main disagreement among posters here is some of us are more optimistic about the amount of ignorant people in this country, while some, usually including me, are more pessimistic. I feel like there are a lot of people who will blame this all on Trump regardless of how stupid that is.

No it is a very real problem and your post illustrates part of the problem. Black people are judged collectively and in a negative way. The prejudice is supposedly justified. That is the problem.

Be sure to time it right.
If things go sideways at the Dem convention like with McGovern in 1972, odds will crater immediately.

And, the FACTS and STATISTICS bear it out.
The BIG problem is that we have 6-7% population committing more than 50% of the violent crime in the country. So, of course, plain common f*cking sense will tell you that they will have a greater percentage of bad police interactions. But, even then, the FACT and STATISTICS show that it doesn't even come close to the percentage violent crime committed by this small percent of the population.

You again illustrate the problem. A black individual interacting with the criminal justice system shouldn’t be judged by stereotypes or negative generalizations about black people. That is the problem. If you look at the evidence there is plenty of it showing that racial bias against people of color is a factor in this country.

I have 2 large bets on Trump win and the presidential winner to be a Republican. I’ve also made numerous small value bets on ransoms like George Clooney, Condoleezza Rice, Oprah, etc to win the presidency. Will never happen but the returns were too good to pass up.

I think you are giving the liberals too much credit. About 10 years ago they opened the door of their party to progressive extremists groups thinking it would help them gain support with minorities and young people. What they didn’t account for though is that they would be ostracizing the moderate democrats and independents that cannot get on board with the direction these extremists groups are taking the party. Now they have lost control of the party to these far left nut jobs and they can’t regain control without being labeled as racists themselves. They painted themselves into a corner now, and they have no way out.
