I dont think they care. I think they know the people that do these kinds of things are the people they elect. Those people take care of their pet issues so they dont care.

^this.
Also, yeah. The left is fine with all this. Quite a few of them have been conditioned to dehumanize us. To view us as the enemy.
They've the same mindset as those in the past(the ussr loyalists) that would eagerly call the police on family and friends , and report them for wrongthink.
Their ideology is the only thing that matters.
You are correct that authoritarian governments always start with millions of people cheering it on.
Venezuela..look at that country now. A lot of people voted in favor of that style of government.

They realize that the media will turn the White House and the Capital Building into Omaha Beach if Republicans were to try something like this. They also realize the media won't care if the Democrats try something like this again.
They don't look at Nixon ordering the Watergate break ins as causing the real problem. They look at the burglars getting caught as what caused the real problem.

Move along people. Nothing to see here.
The DU bot has spoken and it's cool for them to weaponize the intelligence community against political opponents.

While i oppose the FISA court, FISA isn't the "go forth and spy on your political opponents" law
That you lefties support using it that way is obviously a problem, but that's a separate discussion

quote:You're right. It's much more than that. Devin Nunes sponsored the FISA re up. When he knew all of this incredible abuse. And he shot down amendments to attempt to reform it in any meaningful way.
FISA isn't the "go forth and spy on your political opponents" law
Tell us how non liberals want to change the game Rob

I want FISA and the FISC abolished. If you want to spy on Americans, go to a court of public record and get a warrant, so it can be challenged in a preliminary hearing if an arrest is subsequently made. I don’t hold much hope in either side agreeing with me save Justin Amash, Rand Paul and Ron Wyden.

Check out the Liberty Caucus if you have the stomache for it.

You continually say that like it's a proven fact.
The FBI got information from an Australian official that someone in the Trump organization said that the Russians had Hillary's emails.
What did you expect them to do with that information? Sit on it.
The FBI never released the fact that they had started an investigation of the Trump campaign in July. In fact, the New York Times cited FBI sources when they announced on October 31, 2016, that Trump was not the subject of an FBI investigation.
The same FBI announced the re-opening of the investigation of Hillary's emails 10 days before the election -- and they had never even seen the emails on Weiner's computer (that turned out to be inconsequential) when they made the announcement.
Can you objectively explain how that all fits the narrative that the FBI was trying to turn the election against Trump.

Shot down in favor of the Devin Nunes bill. It's surreal.

This assumes the ONLY reason behind the warrant was the dossier.
Read this part reaaaal slow like:
Furthermore, Deputy Director McCabe testified before the Committee in December 2017 that no surveillance warrant would have been sought from the FISC without the Steele dossier information.
I'm so fricking sick of the talking point you're using, because I see it everywhere. You using this point tells me one of two things:
A) You haven't actually read the memo and are just regurgitating talking points you saw elsewhere
B) You know full well your statement is pure crap and don't care because GO TEAM DEMOCRAT!

How long are y’all going to continue to be manipulated by “it’s coming soon.” It’s always the next thing, the thing that doesn’t yet exist, which is going to prove all the bullshite. And when each next thing comes, it doesn’t deliver, and so it becomes the next next thing. And so on, divorced from actual reality.
Don’t you get tired of being lied to by the likes of Hannity and Brietbart and Gateway Pundit?
Tick tock. Tick tock.
