It does have points to make about the current situation and that our gov has been corrupt at the highest levels for years.
I was 6 when it occurred and I can remember watching on tv as the compound burned. Then again I find these type of events interesting and like going down the rabbit hole on these.

I think a person born in the 1980s should absolutely, immediately, be able to recognize a picture of David Koresh. The only exception being someone with reduced mental capacity, like Down's Syndrome.
The simple fact that you couldn't identify someone like that, should set off red flags in your brain, informing you that you don't know shite about shite. But you'd have to be slightly self-aware for that .

The sad thing is, you are so stupid that you don't even realize how stupid you are.
Men Are Four
He who knows not, and knows not he knows not—he is a fool; shun him.
He who knows not, and knows he knows not—he is simple; teach him.
He who knows, and knows not he knows—he is asleep; waken him.
He who knows, and knows he knows—he is a wise man; follow him.

Now I did know the name, and I know a lot of people died there, it was bad. I know it happened by Waco, TX which is a pretty fricked up area (Twin Peaks, Baylor).
But yeah, most of us just know the basics of American History. There’s probably been an active effort to paint Koresh and the Branch Davidians in a certain way to keep him out of the news so that people will have a certain opinion of him.

You do realize that most people are informed and knowledgeable about things that not only occurred *within their lifetime*, but things that happened even before they were born?
The closet comparison I can come to this specific instance: Jonestown happened when I was only 1 year old... and I could have recognized a picture of Jim Jones when I was 15. There really is no excuse for you.
You should begin to realize how little you actually know and start to question your own judgement. You aren't as smart as you think you are.

But yeah we’re not all into true crime

It's not about being into "true crime". It's about being aware of historical events and figures. Being educated. You realize even in this very thread, the user Big4SALTbro (who is a year younger than you) admitted he watched and remembered the footage of Waco live on the news?
Do you understand that most people are just more "aware" and "informed" than you are?

I'm saying you can't on one hand defend the blue automatically and then cry foul when they pull the trigger on someone you identify with.

This is a pretty ignorant statement, to put it nicely.
Would you immediately recognize a picture of Cliven Bundy? Randy Weaver?
Ramzi Yousef?
John Africa?
Donald DeFreeze?
Bruce Ivins?
These were all big new stories with political aspects. You would have to be mentally challenged to not know all of them by picture.
It also seems that you are unaware that people learn differently. Someone could know 1000 different names, dates, and locations but have difficulty discerning 100 different faces. Most conversations between people don't actually involve sharing pictures either. It is more common to know someone's name than their face.
