during a pandemic shutdown on what many perceive (rightfully) as an assault on our constitutional rights?

#1 is Joe Exotic.

On the upshot of the pandemic curve, the story that piqued America's interest was a lightly dark-humored isolated tale about a gay, tiger-loving psycho and a wacko murderous bitch.

On the lingering down slope, peoples' interest seems to be focused on possibly one of the darkest First Amendment rights abuses ever- and a murderous government.

Do not trust the motives behind Netflix programming or it’s documentaries.

And Second Amendment rights - recall that the entire reason the raid was made was a lot of spotty information and assumptions about what "maybe" was going on with the Davidians' weapons.

Not only are you dumb, but you must be really young as well, if you don't recognize #2.

The same group of people who assume every urban police shooting is justified also assume that in this case the cops shot first.

And the other group of people want to give the same group of people [government] more control over my and your life.

Sounds like we have more in common than we are willing to admit.

We need higher standards for police officers and more consequences when people are shot when its not absolutely necessary. Being scared shouldn't be an excuse. And police (and most conservatives) will step out and defend officers when they cross the line.

People who were against body cameras are the epitome of big government fascists.

If perceived injustice in lower income communities is what you are gathering from my thoughts, fair enough.

I understand that the "bad apple" argument among beat cops, but that's not what I am getting at. I thought you'd pick up on the more "institutional" side of my argument, or thoughts.

In the case of Waco, the institution was controlled by dims.

That doesn't mean the institution is dim or pub.

And by institution I mean the State.

I'm an Okie who very well remembers the Murrah bombing.

So because of the McVeigh/Branch Davidian compound raid connection, I've always felt a very personal investment in what the ATF and feds did to Koresh and his people.

Personally, I'm fricking beyond ecstatic that this is being brought up again. It should never have been swept away.

You don't have to be a "Netflix watcher" to recognize the person involved in one of the most significant American events of 1993. Sub-marginally informed would be sufficient. But then again, we're talking about you.

the picture did look a little dated. I thought he could be a young Bill Gates or a Beatle

I wouldn't have any idea who the guy in the first pic is if it hadn't been posted here a bunch.

so you think a David Koresh documentary has points to make about our current situation. Are you worried that this is probably the first exposure a lot of millenials have had to that particular event?

Btw I was 7 when that happened
