re: Do any of you folks know the Bible? Like have a reasonable understanding of it?

It does feel that there is a Biblical aspect to the current world, as in things are about to get dicey. These people in power around the world are evil.

But do you know why God destroys Israel and later allowed Judea to be ransacked? I believe it’s what happening today, but in America.

To those that don’t know the Bible, Abraham’s Isaac who was nearly sacrificed in an act of faith, became a father with his wife Rebekah, she asked God why her unborn children were struggling or active in her womb in modern language. God said to her, that two nations were in her womb, and two manner of people would be separated from thy bowels; and the one people would be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger. Rebekah bore twin sons, Esau and Jacoby. God hated Esau for giving up his birthright for a meal, and Jacob tricked his way to receive the blessing from his father Isaac. God loved Jacob and later renamed him Israel. He had 12 sons that would later become the 12 tribes of Israel, but as God prophesied and fast forward 700 years later indeed two nations split within Israel. The 10 tribes of Israel to the north split from the 2 tribes of Israel to the south (Judea). Despite only having two tribes, Judea was stronger than the 10 tribes of Israel to the north or Israel in the in the Bible. Ultimately and despite being his people, God allowed Syria to destroy the 10 tribes of Israel in the North and punished Judea and caused them to be exiled to Babylon. The 10 tribes of Israel to the North are still gone to this day. They were scattered throughout the world, and you and me are likely part of the 10 tribes of Israel. In the end, God will reunite the 12 tribes of Israel

In order to understand why the 12 tribes of Israel split, you have to read or listen to the Bible.

To that end, I starting to believe that something similar is happening in America. America was founded on religious freedom, but those to the northern US are doing everything they can to curtail our religious freedoms. They don’t want us to pray. They want us to forget our religious traditions and customs. They want us to be “enlightened”, “free thinkers”, take credit for man’s accomplishments and not give God any credit. But if you know the Bible, God destroyed Israel for wickedness, idolatry, and lack of faith. We are seeing this same exact behavior play out, but in the modern US. The Northern part of the US has become wicked, there’s lack of faith, and the new idol is money. The southern part of the US has a lot of the same attributes as the north, but it’s a lot more religious then the north, think Judea. People in the Southern states want God in their lives and want government out their lives.

I believe in the Bible, I believe in God, and I believe a great calamity is coming to America. God was patient too with Israel and Judea until he wasn’t. Jesus reunited Israel when he met with the Samaritan woman at the well. He can reunite America too, but we as a nation need to believe in him in truth and spirit.

One day, so will you be if you believe the Bible is fiction.

just to add to Elihu, even though Judea was punished under Babylon, and later Rome, this remnant of Israel was preserved and through that tribe of Judah came the Messiah, as prophesied. So despite Israel’s abandonment of its purpose, God made it happen.

Youd think of all places, thered be some respect and reverence for the Bible and Christianity on here. Man im beginning to realize we are way worse off than i thought possible

after soloman the kingdom was divided. the northern kingdom had 19 kings. all were considered bad. the southern kingdom (judah) had 20 kings of which 8 were considered good. so it lasted longer. good meaning worshiped God.

I know that Christians say the God says that abortion is a sin, but why did God kill tell the Israelites to slaughter the Ammoritas and Phillistines, right down to the smallest child? Read Deuteronomy.
