US policies that artificially inflate the housing market.

However, you can play the same notes on Hondo from a pawn shop for 50 bucks. Your fingers would likely get more sore on the Hondo though.
An acoustic guitar is a whole lot more expensive than a cup of coffee

Or drop by the recruiters office. They'll feed ya, clothe ya, house ya and pay ya a decent wage.

Something tells me you would shite on a millennial or zoomer for owning a guitar.

micro solution to macro problem, of course
By the way. A bunch of people applying the "micro solution" would like lead to fewer needing the "macro solution".

... is clearly not knocking your accomplishments. "You found [through hard work and almost surely some luck as well] a niche or some extra leverage or whatever." I literally said I'm trying to get there someday.
The point is, again, this isn't about specifically you or I. It's a conversation about the average young professional who's doing most everything right. That's who Trump needs to be empowering if he cares about the future of this country.

Residential Houses were never supposed to be a major investment vehicle or retirement funds. They were supposed to be you know, residences.
Home ownership was quite literally the pillar of the American dream
If we don’t figure out how to make that attainable for young working class people (not just the lazy ones….) then we are in a bad spot.

The decades low interest rates is part of it. Government backed mortgages from Fannie/Freddie is part of it. Zoning and land use restrictions is part of it. There are lots of structural issues that build on each other that prop up housing.
None of these can be fixed overnight, but if all this infrastructure went away, the bubble would eventually pop.

Best thing that ever happened to me was realizing that all of my problems were caused by the decisions made by that SOB looking back at me in the mirrro.

"Then come back and tell me 20 year olds are just being whiny"
20 year olds. And in your case 30 year olds. Are just being whiny
I'd explain further but you're too busy whining and would just continue to do so.

All that sounds great. However, if the individuals would just man up and take responsibility for themselves, they could find a solution. If you can't afford a home where you live, move. If your "professional job" won't allow you to purchase a home, it's not that valuable. Move somewhere else and get an "unprofessional job". Adapt and overcome.

do yourself a favor.... "invest" $10 in this book and read it.
when you're done come back and tell me how your situation is different than the 1920s when it was written or the BC times when it is set.
There's nothing new under the sun here, you just want to believe you're terminally unique as it relates to the times we live in and your situation.
A little less ego and a little more education will go a long way.

I've got several friends at work who say they want to play guitar. Have even given them free lessons after work. None of them will give me 5 minutes in the morning and 5 minutes at night to practice. All they want to give me is excuses why they "can't" learn.

Easy to say when you lived in the easy mode era
I'm 100% certain that you would face more hurdles today than when you grew up

I’ve already read it.
Not sure what argument you’re making here—that people aren’t allowed to criticize economic policies that affect them?
As I’ve said in previous posts, I will buy a house. I’m working toward that—it’s an achievable goal for me, but it is a goal that was made much harder by government policies. Apparently acknowledging that makes someone whiny.

I'm 100% certain you're not only full of shite with this position, quite the opposite is true.
If you haven't followed the technological changes of the 21st century and the advantages they provide today you are beyond help.
