If you want to ruin the myth of Santa for kids, go ahead and portray him as non-white. Not because having a Black Santa is bad, but because when you show Santa as any other race than white, kids will automatically know the myth is bullshite.
How can Santa be real if he keeps on changing his race?
How do parents explain that one? 99% of Santa likenesses in the world have him being white. Black Santa is instantly recognized as a fake Santa.

I really don’t care if you change a pretend persons pretend skin color because of pretentious bigots.
I do think think it’s a bigger problem when pretentious people want to mutilate kids genitals.

Santa has been different colors depending on the Country for years now. Mexico has used Hispanic Santa’s forever. Who cares what color he is as long as he brings us stuff.
Tell me a moment in US history where Santa has ever been black.

Hollywood’s new DEI rules actually mandate this hire.

If it's a different storyline / franchise, I'm not sure why everyone is outraged.
Besides, what's left for Danny Glover after leading the Angels to a pennant but to be Santa Claus?

Only the ones that do not support and are not supported by the party of racism....which is quite a larger number than people realize.

Friend,
There have been Black Santas in America since at least 1912, the year after the first Front Day, when he appeared in New Orleans on Canal St. The first time I ever met a Black Santa was in 1993 at the Gentilly Woods Shopping Center and he was jovial and I loved him! Here is a very brief history of Black Santa in New Orleans. Seeing the diversity of Santa Claus is a beautiful thing, as cultures, as they always do, introduce this beautiful saint as one of their own.
Yours,
TulaneLSU

A bunch of people in here complaining probably got the blonde hair, blue eye Jesus hanging on their walls. Come on now, it ain't that serious.

It's a different movie that isn't tied to the ones Tim Allen has done. They aren't replacing Tim Allen with Danny Glover. They independently cast Danny Glover for an unrelated Christmas movie.
Yeah but you can’t get angry at this OP and sites that push stories like this need to conjure anger

Just be thankful Santa isn’t being played by Ru Paul

Disney replaced Tim Allen as Santa
With Danny Glover
This isn't a "Santa Clause" movie
It is a completely different film

Can Disney fark Danny Glover’s head onto Tim Allen and dub Glover’s voice for Allen for the previous movies?
I do like me some Disney continuity.

Never said it was serious. I don't have a partiycare except that I can imagine how the movie discussions took place. They did not say - hey Tim was too busy or that he declined.
Someone most likely pitched the black Santa idea - why do you think that was? And no I don't object to black or white or Asian Santa
