I think you're still missing his point. The films are marketed as family-friendly while sneaking in moral trojan horses. Parents would need to either pre-screen every film or TV show ahead of time to make sure they are on the up-and-up or would have to research every single one ahead of time.

Perhaps those steps would be prudent regardless, but the issue is that such precautions seem to becoming more and more necessary.

The word of mouth passing of the scriptures is not an assumption. The formalization of those stories hundreds of years or decades later is not an assumption. The fact that it was men repeating these stories and transcribing and translating these stories is not an assumption.
