You clearly don’t understand. It’s not as simple as don’t like it, don’t watch it as your dumbass is trying to make it. If the movie were to promote Christianity in a way that, in your view, is contrary to what you want your children to believe, you would take issue. Now comes the part were you fricking lie.
Yes it is....
And I wouldn’t care, my wife is Christian and I am not and even if she wasn’t I wouldn’t care. I’m not a sky-screaming bitch like you. I just wouldn’t watch it.

quote:I think you're still missing his point. The films are marketed as family-friendly while sneaking in moral trojan horses. Parents would need to either pre-screen every film or TV show ahead of time to make sure they are on the up-and-up or would have to research every single one ahead of time.
Don’t like it, don’t watch it. Simple as that.
Perhaps those steps would be prudent regardless, but the issue is that such precautions seem to becoming more and more necessary.

No, Mickey. I want media companies to be honest and forthright about their intentions. Not hide their true motives.

Your wife making all of the decisions for your household is not in the least surprising, cuck.

Lol, ya got me buddy. Those 2 kids that I knocked her up with sure prove that
She does know that my sister and my sister in law are though. So do my kids and guess what they haven’t caught “the gay”.

You’re really hurt that the majority of people aren’t scared of gay people aren’t you?
My god you’re a sky-screaming bitch.

How should they change their Toy Story marketing? A small blip containing a gay couple should be included in the trailers? I mean, that's your solution?

I just don't understand why you can't do what my sister did with Nightmare Before Christmas and simply watch the movie ahead of time if this type of thing concerns you so much.
Posted on 5/27/20 at 5:15 pm to Muleriderhog
No, cuck.
I don’t think it’s appropriate for young children through movies marketed and made for them to be presented with ideas about sexuality, you fricking pervert.

don't think you understand what inspiration means in this context.
Oh I understand.
God breathed the scripture out of men and women's mouths for centuries before someone took pen to paper. We are on the same page. You and I know exactly what that means.
quote:
That cannot be said by the Westminster Larger Catechism, congregations, or leaders within congregations.
I'm not sure if you have ever heard the reference "inspired by the holy spirit".
If the Westminster larger cathechism wasn't inspired by the holy spirit, make sure I am understanding you correctly.
quote:
Fortunately the abundance of the manuscript evidence for the scriptures allows us to know for certain that we have the entirety of the Bible preserved for us and we don't need to compare a myriad of vulgar translations to get that knowledge.
By entirety of the bible, you mean the stories that were chosen to be added in (and sometimes edited prior to addition). I'm sure that's what you mean. Because the entirety of the bible leaves a wake of stories that didn't make the cut despite much argument and disagreement as to what belonged according to men.
quote:
Yet you made the assumption that the transmission of the Biblical text was the same as people playing the telephone game.
Now I don't know if you understand what the word assumption means.
The word of mouth passing of the scriptures is not an assumption. The formalization of those stories hundreds of years or decades later is not an assumption. The fact that it was men repeating these stories and transcribing and translating these stories is not an assumption.
Who is assuming in this scenario?
You have faith that the breath of God is in those words. Faith but not fact. Faith but no evidence. I welcome your faith, brother. But don't defile me as assuming when all I share are facts.

I understand the want to discuss certain things at certain times with your kids.
But I don't understand why people feel like they have to teach their kid about everything about gays when it comes up the first time.
When I was a small child and asked where babies came from, my parents didn't fire up a porno. They sorta gave me the canned "when a mommy and a daddy love each other they make a baby" schtick.

It shouldn’t come up at all in a movie made for children.
Having it happen organically through daily interactions is one thing. It’s something entirely different when the purpose of including it in the movie is to make the child think about it in a certain way.

So what about Snow White(true loves kiss), Cinderella(literally sisters fighting over marrying a prince) or Shrek(true loves kiss).
If ya don’t like it, don’t watch it. It’s not a hard concept.

So there should never be a gay person in a cartoon/animated film ever?
Posted on 5/27/20 at 5:26 pm to Muleriderhog
You honestly think that’s the same thing?
Most children see that type of love and interaction everyday from their parents. You really don’t see the difference?

First they steal the rainbow from our kids and now they take Disney+

Why not? It’s dealing with sexuality.
If it was 2 dudes or 2 girls as the main characters in those movies would you feel the same? No. You’re just scared of gay people.
What about all the kids that are growing up with gay parents? You’re really a dumbass and your shitty argument is falling apart all around you.

Just put them on the gay tv channel. Problem solved.

I don't think you thought this through. It seems like you're trying to modify Euthyphro's Dilemma based on our previous discussions, but it doesn't work that way.
It’s funny that you try to act intelligent but also believe the earth is roughly 6000 years old.
