DHS shutdown ends as House passes (hated) bill already passed by senate.

So the GOPe caved.
We were told the week the shutdown started that funding for ICE and CBP was already in place, so the Dems weren’t hurting the agencies they wanted to.
I don’t know why ICE and CBP budgets are popping up now.

They could circumvent the filibuster to pass the SAVE Act, but they don’t. I don't trust them to seize an opportunity.
The spineless GOPe in 2026 Congress are the most worthless group of "conservatives" I've ever seen in government. With Thune and Johnson leading the chambers, it might as well still be Schumer and Pelosi.
