What if the candidate is aware that the interviewer hates him and he will never be able to change his mind and get the job?
Would he interview at the place where he has a 1% chance of being employed or will he go to the other places that he has a 90% chance?

If Trump was there the indictments would suck all the air out of the room. I'd love to see them all up there, but the drama would end up making everyone including Trump look bad. It would be a mistake for him to attend right now. Long term it hurts all of them.
