We talking about the same guy who went ahead and stepped on out there in agreeing to appear in prime time on arch nemesis CNN, on their turf, on their terms? I doubt very seriously Donald Trump is skittish about debating anyone.
Why y’all feel the need to continue to illustrate your hatred of Trump by ratcheting up the far flung rhetoric is a real mystery. Nobody doubts yall’s hatred of DT, you don’t have to figure out increasingly belligerent expressions of emotion to prove it. It’s been duly noted.

Trump is entitled to skip the debates. I'm entitled to my vote on election day. If he doesn't feel the need to defend his positions against the field and pulls a Biden strategy to the nomination, he will be very hard pressed to earn my vote come election day.
Hopefully he decides to step on the stage and prove he is truly deserving of the GOP nomination.
