DeSantis signs bill making it illegal to protest in front of an individual's home.

LINK

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill on Monday that makes it illegal to protest at an individual's residence, citing the demonstrators who have shown up outside of multiple Supreme Court justices' homes in recent weeks.

Under the new law, protesters can only be arrested if they ignore a law enforcement officer's orders to disperse.

49 states will never be blessed to have a governor like Desantis. Florida will most likely go back to status quo once Desantis moves on as well.

Not to liberals who thrive on intimidation.

Right. As long as it's N.I.M.B.Y. In this case, your front yard.

It's not. This will fail the first amendment challenge.

The GOP needs to take note. Desantis has done more for Florida than our nationally elected GOP did in years. What Florida has been doing needs to be a model for the GOP to do in DC instead of sitting around counting ceiling tiles.

If Desantis was POTUS, I have no doubt that something like the Hearing Protection Act would have at least been voted on.

Is that what this is? Seems like a blanket statement.

We've had a law for this for hundreds of years.

It's called 'Disturbing the Peace'.

Problem is that laws we've had on the books forever are not being enforced.

The right was 'to be able to petition the govt. for redress' , not to be able to protest in front of someone's home.
