So we're just going to disregard ALL the scaremongering/lack of good information on what has ultimately proven to be a nothing burger of a virus?

The scaremongering shouldn't have worked. That's the point.

After all the dishonesty from the Left - fake existential threats, Russia Russia Russia, literal Hitler!, ridiculous impeachments, we have 12 years to save the planet, unarmed blacks are being hunted by cops - after all of that over the prior decade or so, every conservative with an IQ above room temperature should have been skeptical AF about everything being reported on Covid by the media, permanent Washington and its benefactors.

The fact of the matter, IMHO, DJT was going to be damned if he did and damned if he didn't in regard to the COVID response.

To a degree, this is true. So what would the smart play have been?

I'm being persuaded to pull for Desantis to get the primary win. We're all gonna be drinking that green bubble up or there's gonna be a buncha Desantians eating that Recucklican shite Stew.

That about sums it up ... Trump staff should tell him that his voters aren't quite as dumb as he thinks. But, I hope they don't. Let him keep saying stupid things ... he is keeping up at a pretty good pace recently.

Made the country MORE woke as well.

Guy is a dipshit.

Couldn’t be a more dishonest take if you tried.

I guess you don’t remember John McStain’s infamous down vote on the Senate floor?

So you wanted DJT to work his magical powers to mind control millions of people?

Seems plausible.

I don’t recall a caveat in Trump’s promise to get rid of Obamacare. “Unless I piss off McCain so badly that he thumbs his nose at me by keeping Obamacare.”

Maybe that was in there and I didn’t look closely enough.

I think he played it well. The "stimulus" checks were indistinguishable from "tax refund" checks, but if you're invested in criticizing the man, you won't agree. I think a brief shutdown was good. Sue me. And by "brief" I mean 2-4 weeks - enough time to get a battle plan and ramp up production of necessary supplies. You're not escaping a tornado, but if you have 5 minutes' notice that's valuable. I think the idea of the vaccine was good and it's what allowed the economy to get going again, even if Big Pharma screwed it up (and most of them should be taken out back and shot), but they proved by announcing it pretty much Weds. Nov. 4., showing that they were not on Trump's side. Trump took a lot of shite for trying to tell people to be cool and it'll be over with soon. Even if he was wrong, it was the right message. I said from day one we have to play this down the middle and hope that that's enough, and I think that's what Trump did: balance his own instincts with the input from the "experts", constantly reevaluate, prop up the economy with one hand while trying to get it on its own two feet with the other.

It's easy to criticize the handling of a disaster when you're guaranteed that the best outcome is still a tsunami of shite. Easy, not smart.

shite like this is why people who think like you are better suited for sports talk, or maybe... I don't know, which kind of pie you like to eat. Nothing that requires real logic or facts.

I think McCain was a giant POS, but that damned statement making fun of him for being a POW was probably the dumbest, most offensive public statement I've ever heard a politician make. And damned if it didn't have consequences for all of us.

I had a post yesterday that I hit "Submit", and when the page loaded (I have 1gig speed, ftr) it loaded with a DV already on it. They're just like babies crying because their diaper is dirty.

Is that what it took for the Left to scare the frick out of you about Covid? Were you under the CNN's magical powers to control your mind?

Same losers 3 years from now"

"Trump said 6 months and it took him 9. I told you he was a loser and we should've elected Renee DaSantis!"

A lot of words to dance around the cold hard facts.

Covid response fricked this country a hundred different ways. This is factual. Economically, politically, culturally, educationally, - look at what's happened as the result of Covid response. We're talking about impact greater than everything we've been through in this country since WWII. That's really all that needs to be understood about Covid response.

So the salient question is - was it necessary? And the answer here is a resounding no.

The notion that all the experts were onboard with what became Covid response is simply untrue. There were many experts, and tens of millions of other smart people, that knew in real time that it was unwarranted hysteria. But let's set that aside for a moment. Let's pretend that Covid was 10x worse than it actually was. Would the Covid response we actually got be warranted for that imagined virus? I don't think so.

What's interesting it that in the beginning, Trump agreed with me. But then he listened to the media and permanent gov't - the very people that had spent 3 years lying like hell about him, and impeaching him for BS reasons.

How long will it take your leader to fix it then?

He said 6 months.

What’s your prediction?

What will be fixed?
