I mean...he's not wrong. Donald Trump was rooting for Stacy Abrams to win the GA Governor's race after he was "betrayed".
That said, yeah. DeSantis wasn't going to be on the ticket anyway, but that's probably the last nail in the coffin.

He's the governor of a top 3 most populous state in the Union and has been immensely successful in getting his agenda done and making FL one of the best states in the Union to live.
Why would he leave that to hitch his wagon to that disloyal old frick in what is likely to be a losing effort? Only appealing aspect is I guess Trump could die on the job, given his age.

Haha the key elements of his cabinet were a continuously rolling trainwreck throughout his presidency. The level of turnover was insane. He had no clue what he was doing.
