I don't think I really understand a lot of what's going on here.

Is everybody in these "donor briefings" supposed to be sworn to some sort of secrecy about what is discussed? Why would that be exactly? What's the big cloak and dagger deal going on in this Marriott meeting room?

I think that this is pretty much Pushaw's point
That it wasn't terribly secretive and the campaign didn't really mind the leak anyway. So it was particularly silly for a Trump supporter to impersonate a donor to attend and leak the information.

That's what I don't get here.
I don't really know, but assume she's just saying that if someone in the actual campaign was in a closed door session and fed information to the press with the goal of undermining the campaign, they'd be fired regardless of how secretive the info really was.
Which seems...reasonable
