Good job saying some dumb shite you'd complain about a Trump supporter saying.
On the topic: I love the fair tax, but unless we can repeal the 19th, I think a fair tax is the best we can hope for.
Either way, dismantling the IRS would be a generational change that would dismantle a large part of the government's power apparatus.

Any republican campaigning on that is lying for votes

How do y’all propose we enforce taxes without the irs?
Is it legal for me to break into your house and take hundred dollar bills off your kitchen table?
No?
Then why can the government do it?

I don't have much faith in the federal government, they frick up almost everything. But they get competent pretty quickly when it comes to taking tax payers money.

I think he is saying, the taxes have to still be collected into some form of a revenue collection agency.

I'm surprised. He has been sucking Trump's dick the entire time so I figured he'd take the opposite position of Ron.

He is saying you would still need the IRS to enforce the collection of the sales tax so stores don't fudge the numbers and keep some of it.
Exactly. Now You can change the name, but the function is still there.

The IRS is a government-funded, criminal organization of thieves and extortionists. In a just world, they would easily fall under RICO.
I support any and every candidate that will actively work to abolish.
A fair tax completely erases the need for the IRS and makes the entire tax system more fair and honest. It would force Congress to do their one sole job that they haven't fricking done in decades which is to pass an actual budget instead of ramming omnibus bills through that completely circumvent what the US Constitution allows then to do and forbids them from doing. Also, it would provide an actual number that they should be forced to remain under, and encourage Congress to support policies that actually grow businesses and foster a more "spending friendly" environment in the free market that would result in more tax money being collected.
Alas, it will never happen. It would make perfect sense and be a huge boon to America and, honestly, the world. Our government just can't find it in themselves to do things that make sense.

I think a one sentence tax code would be simpler than a 7,000+ page tax code with countless contradictions. Don't think you would need 10% of the staff to collect.

I like it. Will he really do it? Or better question, will "they" allow this if he's elected?

I disagree. My first case in tax court I was nervous. My boss said “BBonds25, just remember. If they were a great attorney….they wouldn’t still be with the IRS. “

Simplify the code. Reduce the size of the IRS. Right on.

Sales tax goes to state and local government. Why does a federal agency like the IRS need to be involved? How did we handle this for the first 150 years this country existed without the IRS?

Truth. You would not need near as many.

We handled it through the Tariffs offices.alot of different ways.
Land was taxed in a variety of ways, but only four states taxed the mass of property by valuation. And some states collected poll taxes on voters, which was another form of capitation tax. The majority of the young country's income came through tariffs – taxes collected on imported goods.
Still Gov Agencies collecting.

Is this a bit? If it’s a serious question, the answer is by taxing purchases. Either a Fair tax, which is more complicated but a more evenly distributed effective tax program or a flat tax on purchases. I’m a Trump guy but this could legitimately be the most transformative thing one could do for the American economy.

What we mean is that even those taxes have to be collected via the gov... somehow.
