Turn the fire alarms on at the hotels and round them up as they run out... And of course scream fuego....

That's the most likely scenario. At least not in any significant numbers. The goal needs to be to limit the new people. You'll get a lot more bang for your buck securing the border and reducing new illegals than you will trying to deport the ones already here.

It would end up in court probably.

They would be justifiably ignored. It's an invasion.

TAX REMITTANCES at 50%.
They will go back voluntarily.

This was commonly done in a hotel where many politicians stay here in town in the 80s I hear, just to see who came out of their rooms.

I guess you would have to start looking in places where illegals are known to congregate
Post an undercover "Illegal Apprehension Task Force" (I'm trademarking that one) out in front of every Lowes, Home Depot and lumber yard in all the major areas.
Guaranteed you'll round up hordes every day, and as lagniappe you'd pick up quite a few citizens with outstanding warrants. Contractors and DIY homeowners looking for cheap day labor will be pissed, but that's just how it has to be.
I know plenty of LEGAL skilled immigrants who do a fantastic job and shouldn't have to compete with border jumpers just to put food on the table.

It won't happen. Flooding the country with tamable people has been the goal of democrats all along. We don't have the infrastructure to do it. And even if we did, democrats and their rich donors wouldn't support mass deportations inside their cities and counties.
Rich corporations want illegals to stay here illegally. They are cheap labor that they can continue to exploit. And despite knowing that illegals are mostly socially conservative, democrats will eventually succeed in brainwashing their offsprings who can vote.

You think they pay taxes?

Land mines along the border would be a start. Before you fix a leaking pipe you have to turn the flow of water off.
Posted on 1/22/24 at 7:34 pm to Covingtontiger77
You stop the leak then bail the water.

Any idea how this would work?
US Constitution
Article 4,
Section 4
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion
Question: Is the USCON retired or suspended?
If not:
1) Determine if there's an OFFICIAL admission that US Constitution, Section 4, Article 4 enforcement is ignored
2) Issue a formal PUBLIC Congressional complaint, demand a Hearing as to why it has been ignored / unenforced
3) As per Constitutional obligation of the fedgov, enforce/enact remedy -- DEPORTATION
Rep. Clay Higgins suspects another possible scenario is at play:

Pretty simple: Fine each business out the arse for hiring and not reporting illegals on their payroll.\
Mandated proof of citizenship for each and all employees on your payroll or face penalties of up to 80% of gross.

Alot of old Chevy's with Rebel flags flying baby, if you can't say the pledge of allegiance you're outta here

No one will ever be deported. At least not en masse.
They people that have been here are going to get to stay here as part of any reform/compromise/overhaul of immigration law. The sooner everyone comes to understand that reality, the better.

make it illegal to employ, rent a house or apartment and give them zero govt handouts
This is the key. But states like California will never do that even if the fedgov did. So the incentive remains.
