It’s a little more ambiguous. But only because we don’t have immediate video and the assault was clear in the Rittenhouse case.

You cannot sit there and be like “I was just posting the law bro” when you argued for two pages on the definition of “great bodily harm” and then bailed the frick out of the discussion saying you’re playing Minecraft after you got owned.

But if I was a betting man, I’d guess that Dolloff yelled some insults at Keltner and/or engaged him physically - trying to take his mace? That’s based on his mom’s account of the situation which she received from Keltner’s son who was there.
Then we have a pretty good idea of the rest of the sequence.
