Well, I don't want to hear their shite regarding his SCOTUS voting, then.

And, the Democrats will NEVER pass on an opportunity to USE the frickING NUKYALAR OPTION when given a chance

Except for all the chances they've had over the last 228 years.

But the stupid part is that the Republicans will suffer for it when the Democrats take control again - just like the Democrats are suffering for their past stupidity now.

I guess when your identity is so wrapped up in your political party, it's hard for you to see the stupidity coming from both sides.

I've always felt that the Republicans were above the mob-mentality of the Democrats, but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore - they're both just as worthless as the other now.

You've been around long enough to know that you make political hay while you can so why are you so surprised by this?

Nuke it if necessary. Govern well and help all citizens. Let the Dems show their arse. Expose the last eight years. Expose Soros and his organizations.

Never have to worry about potential future "payback" by Dems, because they will self destruct as they are now. Any future Dem leader will represent a more balanced platform.

Talks about how Republicans opposed Obama on everything

While telling Conservatives to stop brining up Obama.

This is the hypocrisy I can't resist pointing out.

Drive-bys. Republican leadership met with Merrick Garland. If you're going to try and be clever, at least make sure you're right.

Given the shitass way they "passed" obamacare they get what they deserve.

So you're saying the Republicans are going to get what they deserve when they lose the majority in the Senate - and thus all power?

That's no way to govern, the Senate is not supposed to operate on a straight majority rule.

I agree, but this isn't somewhat the same way, this is tit for tat.

The Republicans are going to suffer worse than the democrats for this. Look at the demographics of the country, the republicans should be more far sighted - and in the past they have been. They should be setting themselves up for when they lose the majority, not pretending like they will always be in power.

It hasn't been done in 80 years because there wasn't opportunity. It's pretty rare that a seat on the Supreme Court opens up, much less in an election year.

Also, "shitass"? What are you, twelve?

But they are expected to show up and do their job of governing whether they support those governing or not.

Because I've been around long enough to know that the Senate hasn't operated as a simple majority before now. We are in an era of super-partisanship like I've never seen before, it's dangerous to our Republic, and no one seems to care.

In the past I could count on the Republicans to be above it. This is new, and will eventually strip the republican party of all its power. They should be working NOW to strengthen their position as a minority party in the future. The demographics are not in their favor going forward.

Indeed, and they seemed to have given that up during the last administration.

How is this a departure from the Republican response toward Merrick Garland?

I thought the same way about how ACA was forced upon us.

It's not. The people telling themselves it is aren't being honest.

Me too.

Of course, the Republicans backed out of cooperating with that negotiation - AFTER they had 6 years of rule in the Executive and Legislative branches to fix the health care system. But they didn't.

That still doesn't justify what the Republicans are doing now.

Not to mention the Republicans are cutting the throats of future republicans.

All I got to say is Nuke the Dems on everything. Republicans have the votes. Render them useless!!! Start with Gorsuch then when Ginsburg is gone, replace her with another young conservative to really finish them off!!
