The Republican election coordination is abysmal in Texas. Other than some no name campaign ads run on TV and spamming our phones, there is nothing from the Republican party to get people to the polls. Not even sending out sample ballots so people know when a election is happening and who is on the ballot when you do go vote

So frustrating. Candidates blow all the funds on themselves and forget to get people to go vote.

This is nothing but a ceremonial win. The office is only until December 2026 and Texas is not in session this year.

No, a random state Senate seat in Texas is not indicative of anything.
Agreed, especially since Fort Worth is overrun with liberal suburban moms and lots of Hispanics in Tarrant County.

Less than 100,000 people voted in this special election. If anything this is a sign of Texas Republicans not getting the vote out for this special state election. Nothing more.

This. I can’t stand ‘em but I’ll begrudgingly give the Left credit for their ground game. I don’t care if it’s local school board, the Left is motivated to win, win, win.

We Pubs often have a lot of trouble getting out to vote in the “smaller elections” and even in the bigger national ones, it usually seems to be a matter of people like Sensai warning us over and over that it’s the most important election ever to get us stirred into action.

For reference, about 278,000 voted in 2022.

They didn't flip the seat. The seat was democrat before and it was two democrats running to replace the person no longer there.

Yea, to common independent people, Trump 2.0 is a massive disaster.

Zero savings
Dollar collapsing
Jobs are still arse
Economy still arse
Very heavy handed deportations

The midterms will be brutal, been saying it for 3 months now.

You all do realize when they have a special election to replace an empty seat the other side is not involved. It was an open previous democrat seat so only democrats were on the ticket. The actual election that involves Republicans will happen in November.

Exactly the blue print for November, The Dems are unpopular and broke, but will crush the GOP.
