No one in the MSM wants to have the real discussion where the US is almost if not at full capacity and should be extremely picky as to who we let into the country permanently.

This girl clearly wants to MAGA and did everything by the book. Like it should be done. We want people like this!

I just want us to follow and enforce our laws as written.

And, if it is desired to change the law ... then follow our lawful process of doing so.

I'm just saying brother, there are correct ways to do things. Even though immigration sucks and needs to be updated, it's still the right thing to do.

Her family did it the way it was supposed to be done and the sense of accomplishment and gratitude could be felt. I've seen where they come from, it's not the best place, but they did everything they could to provide a better start for their family. There are just good people in the world, so don't give up hope yet.

Honduras is a shithole. it's terrible.

it's not El Salvador, and neither as as bad as Haiti, but you're scraping the bottom of the barrel there outside of SSA and some of the stans

Hard to square the two away ideologically. Same reason I’m civilly responsible if my unemancipated 16 year old kid runs over someone in his car.

Know what else is hard to square? A party whose position is to do nothing to enforce illegal immigration at the border, ignore immigration law, all while simultaneously supporting amnesty for children and chain migration.

So you can take your smarm and kindly shove it, because there is only one party that's even trying to fix the problem right now.

If I steal $1,000,000 from a bank and give $500,000 to my child, should they get to keep it when I get arrested or should they have to return it?

You mean the dreamers following the example of their parents of breaking the law by remaining in the US even now when they are in their 20s and 30s and have not done a damn thing to become a legal US citizen and choose not to, they just want to be handed US citizenship without having to go through the process so they purposely choose to continue to break the law every single day by doing so?

You walked right into that one...

A lot of folks like this are the ones who hate Amnesty the most...they feel cheated because they immigrated through proper channels and stood in line for years. Something is always sweeter and more cherished when it’s earned and not given

I’ve always wondered about this.

The ones who came here and did it the right way are the ones really screwed over by DACA and amnesty.

I’d be pretty pissed off if I followed the rules, did everything right and when it was time to become a citizen, got pushed back in line for people who broke the law.

So you’re in favor of judging people by their individual actions? Interesting.

The rule of law operates in this manner.
Your reputation is formed similarly.

There is nothing interesting about this. It is banal.

I don’t have a problem with their right to citizenship. Their parents broke the law; and they shouldn’t be allowed.

But they need to wait in line like the rest. We don’t give free shot just because these 32 year old “kids” had their parents smuggle them in.

I'm not sure there is a line available for them to wait in. I don't think there is even a path to a green card for Dreamers currently. Getting citizenship isn't all that hard once you get the green card. Getting the green card is the tough part of which there is no path for Dreamers (that I'm aware of).

There are too many gang members in your picture.

quote:

A six-week nationwide gang operation led by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) concluded this weekend with 1,378 arrests across the United States – the largest gang surge conducted by HSI to date. The operation targeted gang members and associates involved in transnational criminal activity, including drug trafficking, weapons smuggling, human smuggling and sex trafficking, murder and racketeering.

Three individuals arrested during this operation previously had deferred action under DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals).
