Who is punishing them? I didn't bring them here. They can get in line like everyone else. Keep making stupid excuses for them though. Make sure you shed some good crocodile tears for the little tikes.

WE ARE ALL FOR IMMIGRATION AS LONG AS IT'S DONE LEGALLY!
Posted on 1/23/18 at 10:18 pm to LSU Patrick
I wish I could say it’s worth my time, Patrick, but it’s really not.
Just read along from here on out.

None without prolonged military service or some similar sacrifice. Why should the dreamers be allowed to cut every line possible? It's humane to let them stay, it's not humane to just say frick it and give them every privilege citizens have.

It's only worth your time to repeat talking points and pour on the fake sob story for the poor illegal aliens.

Military service is the only meritorious sacrifice?
Doctor, lawyer, engineer, solid member of society?
How and where do you draw the line?
Or do you impose empirical requirements that fit within their station in society? I.e. pay your back taxes, no crimes, etc.?

That I don’t agree with punishing one for the sins of their parents?
Not sure there’s really anything wrong with that? But I’m sure you’ll enlighten me
But you are punishing someone for the sins of others’ parents. The ones who are trying to do it legally will have their paperwork put on the backburner while those who came here illegally get theirs processed.

So your issue is just the timing of their citizenship/ being here legally?
You don’t have an issue on the merits of them being here if they’re not felons, etc.? Just that they “cut the line”?
Now that we’ve established it’s a technical objection and not an ideological objection to them being a part of society, what’s the argument for uprooting their lives versus the “harm” imposed by them being allowed to stay (with new laws regarding no felonies, back taxes, etc.)?
You’re arguing just to argue now. It’s obvious you need more litigation experience. Your cheap arse just comes here to get your fix.
I’ve answered you on at least three occasions in this thread already. What are you trying to argue exactly?

Bruh. The plant operators are talking in the other thread. Be gone now.

I don’t understand the principle of allowing line skippers to stay.

Oh, but boosie says you shouldn't punish the poor lads.
Posted on 1/23/18 at 10:24 pm to Errerrerrwere
Ad hom. We both know that means you have nothing on the merits.
I’ll try again: your problem is with the timing of their becoming accepted members of society, not on the merits that they should be able to do so.
Convince me its worth uprooting their lives to send them back versus the perceived good for society in doing so.

Boosie’s problem is the light skinned girl in the OP did it the correct way.

We can't have people following rules and respecting our country.
Posted on 1/23/18 at 10:28 pm to LSU Patrick
Their parents valued our country and culture so much that they literally uprooted their entire existence to move here.
They literally walked the walk.

Holy shite. That's the lamest shite I have ever heard.
Posted on 1/23/18 at 10:31 pm to boosiebadazz
They did it illegally though. The beautiful young lady in the OP did it legally. Why do you hate the legal system so much?
Seems like you are a self- loathing attorney.

I understand your discomfort with shades of gray. Much easier if the world is black or white, legal or illegal, right or wrong. Makes it much easier to feel comfortable in that you’re always on the correct side and the other side is unequivocally wrong.
shite’s messy, bruh. I get it. I just don’t agree with punishing folks for the sins of their parents. And you’re welcome to make the argument the Dreamers should have dropped everything and moved back the day they turned 18 as LSU Patrick and KCT would have undoubtedly done, but that’s laughable.

Yes. Military service is actually far more fair than just doling voting rights and full citizenship to certain professions that we like. Ideally you require more than 4year enlistment.
No back taxes and crime is a pre requisite to stay here.
What's your take? Should we just let all of the dreamers vote?

I don’t hate the legal system. I just understand the legal system is our attempt to codify the gray areas and subjectivity of human behavior into the black and white letter of the law and therefore should be malleable.
But again, I understand the comfort in the rigidness of an absolute black or white world for some.
