He is an old school business-first Republican, fiscal conservative and socially more liberal, so probably depends on the topic.

However, he does not agree with a lot of Trumps policies either.

With the exception of tariffs, trump has been quite pro-business.

Tax cuts, De regulation, etc

He’s also more socially liberal than other repubs. He doesn’t oppose gay marriage

This board doesn't understand that the Clintons were FAR more hated than Biden has ever been.

This is important to point out and it was unexpected for me to see his net favorability rise through the campaign so far.

There will be a lot of "hidden" republican Biden voters in New York and California. They'll be so hidden that the voters themselves won't even know that they voted for Biden instead of Trump

I'm sure it will happen, but I suspect the opposite will be true in larger numbers. Democrats/former Democrats voting Republican for the first time.

The Trump campaign has found that a lot of self-described Dems are cheering for Trump in his rallies.

It's like the DNC's SOP for dems to project their fears and delusions. It's like the dems accusing Trump of what Hillary did with the Russians and then accusing him of what Biden did in Ukraine.

They exist, sure. There are lots of different situations.

The question is quantity. I see no evidence there is a significant portion that fall into this category.

I'm sure there are some.

But the hidden Trump vote is much larger, and it is obvious why. I know a lot of hate him yet voting for him.

I 'member hearing in 2016 that there was a trend in union members obviously indicating solidarity with the union line while in the presence of other union members (and especially their union leadership) yet broke to Trump when in the privacy and secrecy of the voting booth. If that's true, and I don't see why it couldn't or wouldn't be, it'll likely happen again.

When Trump was talking about NAFTA in his debates with Hillary, I was scratching my head. After he carried most of the rust belt, it all made a lot of sense. It was like his Ross Perot card.

Tariffs are his biggest complaint.

Another issue is he sees immigration and illegal immigration as being driven by economic issues, so the demagoguery to him is red-meat (my wording) to a uninformed population.

Did they vote for Trump in 2016? Unless they did, I don't put much value in it.
