This is reason #1000 you should not do mail in ballots. If you do make sure your ballot was not rejected.

I know Dems will cheat........ but, this one person's ballot being rejected doesn't make it a widespread cheating strategy.

Agreed. This ONE anecdote shows the system working as it should. Apparent ballot mistake. She is notified well within the time period to cure.
Now, if Republican ballots are rejected at a higher rate than Democrats...that would be a story.

A lot of young people's mail in ballot votes get rejected in AZ because of signature mismatch.. At a higher rate than older adults. They get sloppy or in a rush to fill out their voter registration or in a rush to sign their ballot and get it in the mail and don't sign it right, or they don't seal the envelope right... I don't think this is news. Validating ballots with a signature is just stupid shite..

That does happen. It is called ballot chasing. The Republicans do it too, to registered Republicans. Scott Pressler was doing it in Pennsylvania.
