I still have a ways to go until retirement. I look at Democrat administrations as a potential buying opportunity.

It's down today. But the market as a whole has largely been on fire since April of 2020. We had a great year and I'm sure most of you have.

Illinois isn't a swing state and was never considered one, so the DNC's GOTV effort wasn't concentrated here. But there was even more enthusiasm for Trump than in the previous election. Trump had a greater % of votes in my very progressive, high tax county in 2020 than he did in 2016.

I have pulled everything out of the market today and sitting on cash until I can get some sense of where to invest long term.
