The defense is merely pointing out that the prosecution’s case proves no form of guilt. The defense does not need to prove innocence.

How about where Trump tells people to march peacefully and patriotically to the capitol:

The Trump lawyers rope-a-doped the house managers and the Senate in the constitutionality stage...appearing to be totally lost and incompetent.
This assured it going forward. If some of the evidence introduced today had been alluded to earlier this thing would have been shutdown.
It has only been the first hour and a half of testimony and the dems are fricked. Makes me salivate at what will be revealed this afternoon.

You are right about the burden of proof. But teh defendant usually puts on a, er... "defense". This is anything but.

Do you actually think impeachment proceedings are remotely comparable
to a normal court of law?
