Democratic socialists have completely undercut their main argument with the protests

Whenever you point out that under Democratic socialism you lose your ability to chose who provides various services they will proudly tell you that “your vote is your choice” and that if you disagree with a government service you “just vote to change it”!
Of course that is the opposite of capitalism where I can just shop somewhere else any time I want, but I digress.
So why aren’t the rioters and protestors, 99% of which are socialists, just using their ‘voting powers of choice’, to change the system instead of, you know, rioting???

Democratic socialism is simply how communism gets its foot in the door. Vote for it to establish its legitimacy and then they remove your voice for your own good.

The people espousing dem socialism know they have zero real support. The supporters they do have can muster the energy to vandalize property and get high all night, but not bother to wake up and vote the following morning.
The mainstream dem party know they can’t win without universal mail-in voting fraud. These people aren’t going to let something as trivial as the will of the people stop them.

When the left tells me to go to some other country if I don't like how they do things, their comment contains the false premise that there is some country out there that aligns with my believes and would let me in.
That doesn't exist, and that is why that argument is a fallacy. My only choice is to stay and try and shape my surroundings to fit my version of happiness.
