Yes, that's true. But my post still stands. As far as name and face recognition, both would be recognizable to pretty much everyone in the US. Vance would destroy him in a debate, hell, DeSantis destroyed him.
Don't get me wrong, I get the point you're making, but he wouldn't beat Vance.

Josh Shapiro?
That’s who I want,
Wow, one of the few leftists who is not kissing Palestinian arse.
Congrats. I guess you really do not want to be thrown off a building just for being who you are. I agree.

Mamdami has some Obama vibes, but he also wasn’t born in the U.S.
Then why mention him at all?? You mention him as if it's just a negative he can work on to improve his chances.
His parents weren't astute enough to get a head start on that fake birth cert.

I have to disagree with that one.
Case in point, I'm not even sure who you're talking about. Shapiro or Beshear.
And I couldn't pick either one out of a lineup by face.
AOC, sure. (And it's interesting that no one on the thread is even mentioning someone like AOC).
I wouldn't know those other two if they walked up to me and protested in my face.
EDIT: I had to look both of them up, but based on your comment that the man you're referring to is attractive like Newsome, i am concluding that you're referring to Beshear.
He could be a problem with white women, yeah. I see what you mean.
He might look a little too young, though. I guess it depends on how popular cougar fantasies are among that voting bloc.

Newsom would be best. We have a lot of dumbed down morons that will fall for his doublespeak.

Actually, Beshear can project personality in a campaign, and he’s a decent bet for 2028.
Except for the race factor, Wes Moreland would be a good candidate( a veteran who talks common sense and has been a good governor…
JDVance would not be a particularly strong candidate, except for the true believers..

Gavin will fulfill the Jeb Bush role and be pushed aside. The left literally can't run a straight white male. It will probably wind up being the bitch Governor from Virginia.

My guess is Beshear or Shapiro.

Josh Shapiro is the only one that really has a chance in the general election.
Who will make it out of the democrat primary? Not Josh Shapiro, the democrat party is currently full of anti semites.

Vance’s chances depend entirely on how the next 3 years go.
If things go well, job market improves, inflation is low, minimal scandals, Vance has a great shot.
If things continue to trend poorly (and the midterms are a bloodbath) Vance will have to do and say a lot to throw Trump under the bus and distance himself (Kamala failed in this regard) and I just don’t think he’ll do it.

Keep an eye on Warnock.

Don't you believe it.
The Democrats ran the most obviously unqualified, dumbest, most cringe-worthy, secondary embarrassment creating, tone deaf, drunk arse simpleton in POTUS election history, and if their policies had been even 15% more reasonable on the border it would have been neck and neck last time around.
And they don't have to worry about their policies this time, whoever runs on the R ticket will.
For some reason people here think this is a hard concept. It's not. When you are in power and election time comes around, if people aren't happy, you're almost certainly going to get voted out. Whether whatever people aren't happy about is your fault or not.
The Biden administration miscalculated on three things:
1. They miscalculated on how pissed off people were about the illegal immigration situation and about the trans-grooming situation
2. They miscalculated about the inertia of the illegal immigration situation. They thought they could throw the border wide open, but then close it up two months before the election and people would buy it
3. And they miscalculated on how much they could gaslight the American people about the economy
I don't even think ousting an obviously unfit Biden and replacing him with a similarly unfit 68 IQ guffawing and cackling drunk stopped whatever momentum they had going.
You don't have to be an impressive candidate anymore. Not in the age of tribal populism. You just have to not be the other side and you can't be as extreme in your idiocy as the Biden administration was on certain issues.
That's it. It's a low 'effing bar now.

He'll do it, but it's too much of a hypocritical message. It won't resonate.
Besides, Trump is a cult leader. Anybody saying ANYTHING against Trump loses the dumbest 40% of the Republican base immediately.

The good news? Their bench is shorter than Rosie O'Donnell's dick.
The bad news? They nominated a couple of human cartoon characters last time and still received 48% of the vote.
Between election fraud and almosr 50% of the electorate being practically brain-dead they will automatically have a chance even if they waive the Constitution and run Greta Thunberg.

That's been a concern of mine, but I think they'll find somebody (maybe the guy who wanted to run against Biden in the primary?)

This is a pretty good take
