And this is not me saying, I think she is a worse choice than who ultimately may get that nomination OR be elected president.

The far left extremist have been touting Elizabeth Warren ... which would be terrifying.

Well the last time we had an r congress and D president we had a surplus and a booming economy. It would depend on if Hillary worked with congress like Bill did or if she throws a fit like Obama

It's a cycle. When one side feels that they are in permanent control and everyone agrees with them, all of the real nut jobs crawl out of the woodwork and we suddenly remember how repugnant they are.

Happens every decade.

A bigger issue is that she's an unlikable, morally reprehensible, dishonest, sleaze bag, c&nt. And, unlike Obama, her Komrades in the mainstream media will not be able to hide this about her.

And, let's not forget the fact that she's NEVER actually accomplished or really done anything on her own in her life which alone should disqualify her from office. Then again, it didn't stop Obozo.

The Left has gotten a BIG PASS in regard to the practicality of their government altruism. I seriously doubt the demographic of the electorate that has given them the benefit of the doubt can further continue to ignore the RESULTS and consequences therein. That debt clock won't tick forever.

Agreed.

It would pretty much ensure a Rand Paul victory in November 2016.

She's fiscally insane, economically illiterate, and has no respect for property rights, and a gun control loon.

I love this quote from the article:

quote:

To try to close the gap and turn out more voters, Democrats have plotted a strategy geared around motivating their base. On Tuesday — "Equal Pay Day" — Obama will make a couple of moves the White House says will strengthen enforcement of equal-pay laws for women.

I think the best way to celebrate Equal Pay Day would be for Obama, as well as the congressional Democrats, to give pay raises to their female staffers so they make the same as their male counterparts.

If the GOP had a brain, they would have held a press conference today touting those numbers. Maybe even offer their own money to the women who are being discriminated against by their D bosses, if there's a way to do so legally.

Probably so.

During the late-1970s, the 1980s, and the 1990s, Warren taught law at several universities throughout the country, while researching issues related to bankruptcy and middle-class personal finance.[19] Warren taught at the Rutgers School of Law–Newark during 1977–1978, the University of Houston Law Center from 1978 to 1983, and the University of Texas School of Law from 1981 to 1987, in addition to teaching at the University of Michigan as a visiting professor in 1985 and as a research associate at the University of Texas at Austin from 1983 to 1987.[23]

She joined the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1987 and became a tenured professor. She began teaching at Harvard Law School in 1992, as a visiting professor, and began a permanent position as Leo Gottlieb Professor of Law in 1995.[23]

In 1995 Warren was asked to advise the National Bankruptcy Review Commission.[24] She helped to draft the commission's report and worked for several years to oppose legislation intended to severely restrict the right of consumers to file for bankruptcy. Warren and others opposing the legislation were not successful; in 2005 Congress passed the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005.[25]

From November 2006 to November 2010, Warren was a member of the FDIC Advisory Committee on Economic Inclusion.[26] She is a member of the National Bankruptcy Conference, an independent organization that advises the U.S. Congress on bankruptcy law.[27] She is a former Vice-President of the American Law Institute and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.[28]

quote:

On November 14, 2008, Warren was appointed by United States Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to chair the five-member Congressional Oversight Panel created to oversee the implementation of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act.[37] The Panel released monthly oversight reports that evaluated the government bailout and related programs.[38] During Warren's tenure, these reports covered foreclosure mitigation, consumer and small business lending, commercial real estate, AIG, bank stress tests, the impact of the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) on the financial markets, government guarantees, the automotive industry, and other topics.[a]

You can not like her, but she's certainly not economically illiterate .

I agree. I think most people believe in equal pay for equal work. That in and of itself is a bi-partisan issue IMO.

It's just that the GOP hasn't successfully shown the problems in Obama's numbers.

Between 2016/2018, the economy is going to remain stagnant. Inflation and interest rates are already creeping up. And the Fed will turn off the tap before 2018.
Please explain how any Dem is going to win a national election with an economy going nowhere but down for the rest of this administration's term.

Wait, there are still people in here that think the federal government will do what is best for this country, make tough decisions, and get us on the right path?
