RESPECT. Doing what you're doing is a definition of a "MAN". God bless you.

Assuming we adopt next year I'll be switching them over but that has to do more with a quality education than any sort of indoctrination from the schools in our area, the sticks of Missouri.

My brutha - may the Lord's Hand help guide you and yours, give you strength, and help create opportunities for you.

its just worth it for them to learn christian values....surrounded by kids who are grounded in christian beleives.

Priceless.

I have friends that have kids in the great public schools around here....and i wouldnt want my kids hanging with theirs on a daily basis, i will say that.

Gotcha. Yet...some interaction with other kids is still a good idea and a helpful experience (unless they are absolute psychos); your guys will need to be able to deal with and understand these kids / adults on a certain level -- they are and will comprise the vast majority.

Still planning on public for now since I'm in a really nice school district, but I'm monitoring the situation and keeping my options open.

I could move a few miles to the best public school district in the state, and probably will before too long.

And my children will still go to the private, Christian (Catholic) school.

I don't know why more politicians push for vouchers. It is an across the political spectrum winning issue. Blacks are big supporters of vouchers.

less toys for me

Ah, toys are overrated. Investing in your kids is the better decision. Paying that tuition sucks, but its worth it. I never once get buyers remorse when I pay it.

But I live in a good area, our public schools are really good here!" - so many people convince themselves of this. It's unfortunate.

And then you have A teacher in Dutchtown of all places spewing gay BS and trying to convince your kid she might be bi. This happened to my cousins daughter 2 months ago

Some "Christian" schools are also woke, but even a woke Christian school is better than a "good" public school.

This is dumb.

absolutely to a certain extent. although they make up the vast majority, my expierence is most white collar proffesionals dont have to deal that much with them. Some yes, but not a ton.

I went to public school, i have tons of friends who send their kids to public schools. some of the kids are great but many are like i said....not someone i would want my kid around daily.

i will say, when it comes to public school kids, seems like as expected, the more involved they are at school and church and with sports, the more involved the parents are in their live and the better the kid is.

Driving my son back from a camp in Orlando, I can’t imagine his life without sports. I send him to an all boys school too, but what he learns competing in sports is amazing.

I did too, about a month ago. 80 miles round trip daily also. I’ve made one monthly tuition payment x2 and haven’t batted an eye. As a matter of fact I’ve had confirmation nearly every day that I’ve done the right thing. We’ve made tier one of budget cuts and can go deeper if need be. I think we’re gonna be ok with just tier one cuts.

Teachers unions and white liberal females in areas with "good" public schools, who don't understand others don't have the same level of access to a quality education for their children are the ones fighting them

Even non-Christians near me get this.

At one local Christian school they have about 25% muslim kids there. Even immigrants of religions intolerant to Christianity know the public school system is bogus and this is the best option for their kids to succeed here.

My daughter: "Mom, why don't you and dad remodel the kitchen and patio?"

Me piping in, "Uh, because we're sending you out-of-state to college and paying cash for it. But we could re-prioritize that money, if you prefer."

Daughter, "Uh, I'm good."
