The short answer is because I can't have a decent conversation with my dad anymore because he's consumed with Q nonsense and gets angry if I disagree or even express skepticism. Guy doesn't even have internet. My brother is pumping it into him because he's also obsessed.

Same I can’t even talk to my mom or sister anymore. But I try not to get too frustrated with them bc they’re mostly right - the election WAS stolen and it IS being proven and the vaccine IS sketchy as hell - it’s just they don’t have the critical thinking skills to see how hopeless it is

I don’t think the allegations included in q stuff were particularly off base (existence of a “uniparty” and “deep state” of unelected and unaccountable beaurocrats, law enforcement, military, and intelligence organization employees that ostensibly run the government no matter what party wins elections, that hollywood and the legacy media are ostensibly propaganda arms for this “deep state”, that pedophelia is rampant among political leaders and the ultra rich, that blackmail is used as a means of controlling people in power, that the Chinese Communist Party and other belligerent nations buy influence with American corporations and politicians to carry out their policy goals, that election fraud is rampant, that this uniparty is trying to destroy the fundamentals of our nation to usher in global authoritarian fascism or communism or something generally bad for most everyone, etc.
What Q was obviously wrong about was the existence of a concerted and bullet-proof movement within the government to put a stop to all of this.
