I wouldn't doubt it. I can see you're an intentionally obtuse person who enjoys arguing for arguing's sake. We'd probably get along well.

I'm just saying that isn't that awful of a plan. Again if it applies to individuals, I'm guessing she is talking about taxing estates, corporations, LLPs, etc.

Go look up how many rich people there actually are. That is a drop in the bucket that does nothing but set the precedent for bringing it down to where the money really is.

You mean the doubling down on stupidity? I’m sure I’m not missing out on much. Why don’t you tell me how much tax money is already taken out of that 50 million since you’re so informed.

I thought you read the rest of the thread? In one of the posts I said I wasn't that informed. I don't know how much, I'm assuming people who have that much money have an income that would be in the top tax bracket right? So I guess 37%

As I have said before:

This is a great educational moment for people who think universal Health care is at all feasible.

20 million people a year times 50,000 a year in medical bills and upkeep is 1 TRILLION dollars.

In other words Jeff Bezos and 10 other people worth as much or more than him would have to generate and donate over 100 Billion dollars a year every year.

And that's just 20 million at 50,000 a year. The USA currently has 300,000,000, people in it and half of those pay nothing already. And have massive health problems.

And that's just for a bare minimum estimate of Universal Healthcare.

Now do the math for Yang's Universal Healthcare plan which would cost at minimum between 2 and 4 trillion.

Now add both of those together and explain to me how anyone can vote for a Progressive Socialist.

So you're down with the border states that say "frick Trump's wall"?

1.If they agree to pay for all services used by the illegals. No Federal taxpayer money.

2. They agree to reimburse the feds if the illegals are caught in a non border state , and it's determined which border state they came through.

3. Pull ALL Federal employees out of the border states .

4. You weirdo Libertarians want open borders , you pay for the ilk.

Wow, you can google. I’m proud of you. Now you know that the 1% wouldn’t accomplish jack shite considering they already pay almost half of their money when you consider they also pay state taxes on top of that 37% federal tax. And she wants universal healthcare for everyone including illegal immigrants and paying for everyone’s college. You’re a moron if you think that 1% would do anything. You’d have to not only tax the rich well over 50%, you’d also have a massive tax increase for the middle class.

Well you said that the Federal government shouldn't interfere in State matters. That means no states would receive Federal tax money, so this is a moot point in your scenario

Hmmm, that's interesting and I think is a fair point, would be tough to prove where they came in for the Feds though, especially if:

quote:

3. Pull ALL Federal employees out of the border states .

comes true

Well I never commented on any of her other plans, or even how she's going to spend the money. Actually I agreed that the money would likely get spent terribly.

Way low. If you took 100% of all income in excess of $1,000,000, you could not balance the current budget. Muchless pay for an additional $2-4 Trillion per year.

The idea that any of these programs are going to be "paid for" by "the rich" is mathematically impossible. It's an outright lie.

100% correct. I wish more people understood this.

And I wish direct payroll taxes didn't exist. Everyone should have to write a check for what they owe at the end of the year.

This would teach people to save, make people involved in where their money goes, get people to pay attention to politics, force people to confront a bloated government, etc....

In theory it sounds great. However the income you are taking away from individuals through tax, is not guaranteed to be used efficiently.

We need more incentives to have lower taxes as an individual

I'd require it monthly, but agree. People should know what they are paying. Most poeple don't realize their largest single expense is... income taxes.
