You think it’s goverment’s role to “help” people?

Really?

It’s government’s role to uphold the constitution and stay out of the individual pursuit of happiness.

It's the governments job to do a lot more than stay out of the way of individual pursuit of happiness. It's their job to make sure nothing lawfully interferes with our ability to have life, freedom, and pursue happiness.

It's also the governments job to make sure that people follow laws, and have access to opportunities to pursue happiness. In 2019 that means access to education, access to safe places to live, access to the ability to have healthcare, access to safe streets and cities, access to opportunities to build wealth.

Now the BIG PROBLEM the Democrats have is they think the government should GIVE people this stuff. That is silly. The government should make sure people are not being stopped in their pursuit of these things, not give it to them outright. Another problem the Democrats have is they think that some people have MORE right to these things than others, which is silly as well.

Uphold the Constitution , as I said.

Stay out of state issues.

Period.

The federal government wastes billions of TAXPAYER dollars.

They have no clue how to help anything.

And you want to give them more?

Why?

They aren’t responsible with what they currently receive.

Increasingly high federal income taxes inarguably do this.

have access to opportunities to pursue happiness

Name me one example in America in 2019 of a person who lacks the access to the opportunity to pursue happiness.

I didn't name call. I asked a simple question.

Cmon man, I have said this several several times now, so I'll just quote an early post I made in this thread

quote:

My comment was that, on it's face, taxing $1 extra for every dollar an individual makes over $50million isn't an awful plan, I didn't comment on our governments ability to use that money correctly

If Elizabeth Warrens 1% tax on every dollar made after $50million only applies to individuals and not companies, I'm actually okay with that. What's $1 per $100 after you already are worth $50 million? And it actually could do some good

Take a good look ladies and gentlemen. People like this are actually allowed to vote. And just the lack of self awareness not knowing that the taxes already paid on that 50 million, which I hate to burst your bubble, is way more than 1 fricking percent.

Can we atleast find some common ground and agree that before we raise any taxes on anyone anywhere in this country we should take a long hard look at governmental waste and bloat?

If you aren’t okay with giving an irresponsible Goverment more money to waste, by consequence, you’d not see this plan as anything even close to resembling something good.

You mean the doubling down on stupidity? I’m sure I’m not missing out on much. Why don’t you tell me how much tax money is already taken out of that 50 million since you’re so informed.
