lots of wisdom in your entire post.

All this whining about the laws of nature taking out the trash every once in a while is stupid.

at the rate we are going, instead of 'survival of the fittest" we will 'evolve' into a specie of bipedal parasites.

All our "laws" and "sensitivities" to help the 'disadvantaged" are merely ensuring that the progeny of those 'disadvantaged' will be even more disadvantaged, never having seen what a productive life can bring, or even to recognize productivity itself.

We are into the 3rd generation, which is growing exponentially, of people who don't even have GRANDPARENTs who were worth a shite except for a DEM vote every election cycle. Meanwhile the productive people are on a downward repopulation trend, so when the crossover comes the descent will be rapid indeed.

Learn Chinese.

Sad for both the homeowner and the boy. I know people will say "he shouldn't be breaking into cars" but he is 13. We were all dumb AF at 13

Know what I was doing when I was 13? Competing in the National Spelling Bee. Not breaking into cars.

This is true (and what has been absent in the whole discussion) regardless of if he gets off or not. He has to live with knowing he killed another human being because some people fricking suck royally as parents and because large parts of our society are in shambles. frick those people all for that.

DC prosecutors will make sure this homeowner goes to jail. They won’t stand for not allowing minority teens to steal at their leisure.

The better translation of those verses of the Bible identify the two as “bandits.“ That term was Roman codespeak for armed political dissidents.

This is correct. Also, tracks with their crucifixions being concurrent with Jesus'. The Romans viewed all three as political rebels.

Oh I'm sure you've done some things that were dumb and you regret. You probably come from a 2 parent household or had a positive male role model in your life.

I'm not making excuses for him but he is 13. People actually forget how stupid they were at that age.

That did not include breaking into cars.

Yes you are, and that is an excuse.

Stupid, yes. Criminal, no. Several times, I've said that if I could go back in time and encounter teenage me, I wouldn't even offer advice. I'd just thoroughly kick my own arse, then walk away.

My 5 year old and my 2 year old have it so ingrained that they can't just walk out of a store without paying for something, they'll tell each other, "put that back, you can't walk out of here without paying for it, that's a crime!"

I never stole or broke into someone else's vehicle at the age of 13.

...or at anytime in my life.

No, they just had a responsible upbringing. The parents of this kid should be charged with negligence.

One less thief is no great loss. Kudos to the homeowner for doing the community a solid.

Local DA charged parents when their kids were truant. Single or otherwise they can be charged for not keeping their children in line.

Such a stupid take.

It's an intentional ploy at diluting the violence and terrorist actions being committed by young people.

This "dumbing down" of these terrorist acts do more harm to generations of young, "at-risk" people than any of you possibly understand.
