Over 100 girls under 12 likely forced marriage victims.

Jasvinder Sanghera, a survivor of forced marriage, and Ben Leo discussed a disturbing U.K. report that reveals forced marriage cases involving young children, raising new questions about enforcement and prosecutions.

I’m assuming most of these are Pakistani with a measure of Irish Traveler thrown in as well.

If your logic is that we can simply go back in time to justify dangerous ideas in the modern world, you are going to get eaten alive on here.

My logic is that all child marriage is wrong, Christianity has its fair share of child marriage problems as well. Lol you really thought I was going to sit here and try to justify child marriage?
Ever heard the phrase, clean up your own yard before complaining about your neighbors?

Close to 300,000 minors were married between 2000 and 2018 in the US, according to a study conducted by Unchained at Last; a small number of them were as young as 10. Because 78% of minors who wed in that timespan were girls with adult husbands, advocates frame their cause around saving underage girls from older men.

Nicole, who asked to be identified only by her middle name, says her marriage was orchestrated by her late grandmother — who believed a girl’s only purpose was to become a wife and mother. A judge also approved the union.
This is just so familiar, I wonder online where I've read this before? Poli something?
quote:
In a handful of the most extreme cases, children as young 12 were given marriage licenses in Alaska, Louisiana and South Carolina.
The majority of minors married adults who were 18, 19 or in their early 20s. Yet, several hundred minors were legally permitted to marry adults in their 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s.
Yes the famous caliphates of Alaska, Louisiana and South Carolina.

You pointed to an example from 100 fricking years ago and you can't even demonstrate that this case had anything to do with religious doctrine, much less Christian doctrine.
Western Christian cultures are not engaged in forced childhood marriages idiot.

Aisha wrote a tell all book about her abuse by Muhammed the pedophile, rapist, terrorist, murderer. She was in her 60's living with other 'sisters', nuns of Christian faith who rescued her from homelessness. I read her account around 25 years ago. It's been deleted from the internet along with her condemnation of Islam. If you leave Islam you die by being murdered. This is what they are celebrating but don't mention why she converted to Christianity and how she found Jesus, the one true prophet.

I know it's kitsch to ask around here because of the preference for any line of thought that confirms previously held beliefs but... source?
I know that's what you've said but is it actually true or is that the explanation that makes your head not hurt?

Why don't you tell us how many Christian girls under 12 were married to adult men in the last 50 years in the United States?

Wrong is wrong no matter where it occurs. If they were approved by a judge, then hang the judge.
