Good. I hope this happens all over professional sports.

quote:

According to a report, the president and CEO of the NHL’s Dallas Stars said the team has lost a number of season ticket holders because of the team’s support of Black Lives Matter and protests dealing with race.

Brad Alberts stated, “But we/I stand by our organization’s commitment and support our players 100% to express their views,” as the Dallas News reported.

I honestly can't wait for the first week's numbers when the NFL kicks off. The NBA's viewership has been abysmal.

How many black players or employees do the Stars have?

How many black ticket holders do the Stars have?

Are those people amongst the ones calling this shite out?

YOU ARE WRONG. This is definitely the right course of action for the NHL. I mean their base is made up of leftists, liberals, BLM, Antifa, and....

hold on...

wait a second...

I used to fly to Dallas 2-3X a year to attend Stars games. I will likely never go back. I also went to my first NFL/Saints game last year. I won't be going to any NFL games either.

Here is a hint, stop supporting an anti-American group of avowed trained Marxists.

The Stars beat the Avalanche last night in the playoffs. I read that this morning. It was the first Avalanche playoff game I have missed on television or in person since 1996. When they postponed games to pay homage to a Marxist Race Scam, that was too much. And I LOVE the NHL, I really do. I also cancelled my daily Avalanche update email from the team and deleted my podcasts. For me the Avalanche are only behind LSU sports so it's painful for me. It also obviously opens me up for ridicule and mockery from people who love to do so. But honestly, I can't participate in the National Suicide Movement and I have SO many other things I could be doing that would be more productive.

The Pro Leagues all think they are playing with Monopoly money from current contracts.

That this is a Covid Pandemic writeoff season anyway, and that the fans will have a short memory..

They are being naive, this isn't gonna be like other temporary league walkaways of the past..

This one is gonna be big, and across the board, and long lasting.

This is so stupid. You can support your players views without running off half of your fan base. Serves them right

Oh well. All I can say to them or any other sports team is good luck in the future.....hope everything works out like you planned.

I'm sure since the NFL has agreed to donate $250M over the next 10 years in the wake of BLM to combat racial injustice and that Kap was right all along and they should have listened, other leagues will follow.

Won't be using any of my income to do so but I'm sure there are plenty of people out there that will gladly help them. To each his own!

Former Philadelphia 76er season ticket holder. 7 years. Went to many Eagles and Phillies games. Supported NASCAR in Dover 2x a year.

Done with all of it now.

I suspect that week 1 might have some viewers that tune in to see IF the teams/NFL do anything crazy political. Week 2 might be when you see the big drop in viewers.
