We may have started using that metric in New York. Or some other hard hit area(s). It’s probably most appropriate to ignore that number until it reflects something or is quantified.

Your welcome to do your own tracking and chart as you see fit. I have explained multiple times in the thread how this is being done.

I am new to this thread but I think There is an error on March 21, either on your spreadsheet or on world o meters. Their numbers for March 21 are 24,207 not 26k (March 20 and 22 are identical). I hope your numbers are right because they suggest a better decline in growth.

Yes, but like he said, this is his chart with his tracking methodology. He's obviously free to manage it however he wants as it is his time that is going into it.
I do appreciate the effort he is putting into trying to give more visual data interpretation to us. I think it is at least close enough to being accurate on the current day that the visuals are still useful, if not 100% accurate historically. It's not his fault numbers are tuned and updated after the day closes and we can't expect him to go back and update his data to match again.

Apparently the definition of “recovery” for this specific data point is you have to test negative twice within a hospital or medical institution.
Folks that get tested but are NOT administered unto a hospital that go home and get better on their own aren’t counted towards recoveries.
We definitely have far more recoveries than what is show.
I gathered this from other posters that heard/read such. I could be wrong though.

If this virus is killing people ages 60ish and up (the higher risk people), the balance of the political leaning will shift towards socialism world wide.

i know there are many, many aspects to this war and the solutions to and analysis of it, but I've really honed in on a pet one that I keep emphasizing--we MUST get in-home, cheap, easily disseminated ANTIBODY TESTING out there. This will give us a much better picture of the denominator for death rates, the recovery rate obviously, and can help us start fashioning some form of plan to get people back to work and customize quarantines.
There are reasons why the powers that be don't want this right now (e.g.s, people who believe they're immune -- whether they are or aren't--going out and ignoring orders, and people who test positive rushing to the hospitals when they should self-treat at home), but IMO it is a necessary step to recovery at some point (soon).

I could use some feedback from you guys on how to present all this data.
With the addition of the testing data, the size of the spreadsheet is getting so large that when I take the screen shots and then link them in here, the size is getting pretty small to read.
I could break it up into multiple posts, but i'm worried about the amount of time this is starting to take to prepare. I am enjoying doing it for you all, but I have a life outside of the basement.

Go back to google docs. Lock the document to everyone but you then put a link in the top post. Users can just go there instead of you having to take time to save and link images.

Reason recovery stats are wrong is because to be officially recovered someone has to have 2 negative test. These rules were made before testing kits were more valuable then gold .
They are simply not wasting 2 test kits on recovered people to confirm recovery so unless they change the criteria for recovery the recovery stat is useless

You can copy and paste the graphs into word as images then upload directly from there, saving each as a jpeg.
