They’re testing 20k people/day.
Hospitalizations and deaths are the only important numbers to watch. 7-day average on deaths continues to trend down.

Percent positive seems to be increasing. Don't want them to have any ammo.

Marginally.
The overall positive rate for the state is 5.5%. The latest data on Covidtracking.com has the one day results at 6.1%. Previous day was at 4.6%.

If you want to be scared. Be scared. You don’t need anyone’s permission.

I take that as meaning only thing in effect is six feet and masks?
alabamas positive percentage rate is declining as is hospitalizations slowly.... notice I said "both are slowly"
hopefully we'll be done with phases in about two-three more weeks when the stay at home order expires

No. Nothing. It’s encouraged. No state mandates.

I was turned away from Walmart yesterday for not having a mask. I normally have the mask but I forgot to bring it from my house.

If you’re not in a rural area, stop going to Walmart.

It was just 2-3 weeks ago that Montgomery’s mayor was all over the national news talking how they were out of ICU beds and were having to send patients elsewhere. The media was talking about how it was about to be a big problem there. Now...crickets on Alabama’s status.

Not the first area to have this happen either.
It's really weird. It seems to me there is something we don't understand about this virus. There seems to be some immunity or something people have we haven't quite figured out yet.
I'm certainly no expert but something is going on it seems. Idk.

I am on vacation until Sunday. Today the COVID Tracking Project changed their data file format and as a result the import process I created to update the tracker must be rewritten. I won't be able to do that until probably Monday 6/15. Until that time, I will update the Older US Tracker based on the WoM numbers. I will not be updating anything else other than the US tab, no other countries, states, etc...I'm on Vacation.

The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) reported the largest single day increase of new coronavirus cases on Wednesday raising questions about social distancing measures and how long the virus may continue to impact the state.
Coronavirus cases have doubled in the last week in Marshall County, home of Lake Guntersville in north Alabama, with the number of positive tests now outpacing any county north of Birmingham.
Officials this week pointed to two primary reasons: The ongoing work at essential industries such as poultry processing plants – where employees typically work elbow to elbow – and the fact that Marshall has tested more people for the novel coronavirus than neighboring counties.
