I am going to be out of town until Sunday 6-14. I will have sporadic internet access during this time. Updates may be infrequent this week.

This is the link to the New COVID-19 tracker that I have shared on Google Drive.
If you want to view the shared sheet, follow this link New COVID-19 Tracker
If you want to download a copy of this sheet and manipulate it follow this link Downloadable New COVID-19 Tracker
The source for the data is from https://covidtracking.com/data/

NOTE: The Covid Tracking Project updates their numbers once a day around 5PM CST. WOM Updates their numbers until around 9pm, This will create a discrepancy in the two websites. They match out over time.

Very possible we record fewer than 500 deaths today.

I know it’s Sunday, but these numbers are falling off a cliff.

Only 5 states with greater than 25 deaths for today. A couple weeks ago, we had 5 states with over 100 deaths/day.

Should be another day well under 1000 deaths.

Got a feeling after stalling around the 1000 deaths a day for over a week, we are gonna go straight to the mid 800s (on the 7 day average deaths).

Where are you getting your death numbers from now?

The numbers in the charts are now different than the ones on worldometers.

eta: just saw your note addressing this. Seems odd even though your new website stops posting numbers earlier they have been higher each of the last 3 days than the ones posted on WOM

WOM last 3 days.
Saturday: 706
Sunday: 373
Monday: 586

New Data last 3 days

Saturday:746
Sunday: 453
Monday: 640

174 difference in deaths.

How to determine which is more accurate? WOM accounts for almost 8k more deaths.

For consistency, I would have prefered to stay with WOM as my primary source; however, since they don't offer a data feed it necessitates manual entry. I just don't have the time to key numbers every day for 51 (US + States) locations.

Regardless of the actual numbers, one thing is standing out. The death toll is dropping fast. Tuesday seems to be the spike day on WOM, so we will see what comes out tomorrow.

Not sure if anyone cares, but I received some raw data as part of my job. The rate of positives in random, asymptomatic people (in this very small population) was 0.65%. That is currently positive for SARS-nCoV-2 (the virus) at the time of testing, not antibodies from prior exposure.

Too small of a sample size (<500) and too specific of a population to extrapolate anything meaningful, but it is a real example if anyone is interested.

This tracker will be maintained, its just the old one that I'm dropping.

Is there something you get from it, that you would like to see replicated in the new one?
