I'll correct my own post. Worldmeter was showing 207 deaths at the time I wrote the above...now it's back to 27 deaths. Not so big a spike as i originally thought.

Gotcha. Quality of the big two or three huge reference labs has gone down the last 5 years. Working in a lab that sends numerous samples to them, I can tell you it is next to impossible to deal with them. They know they have you by the testicles and really do not care. They will hang up and let you start the call and wait process over a dozen times without a second thought. I've been told at least a dozen times "the specimen was lost, or not correct, or invalid" and then 2 days later get a result on that specimen.

That's great news, but it seems like you're basically saying he'll never be reported as recovered.
ETA: If that's true, then it confirms my belief that we're under-reporting recoveries.

NOTE: I have added a prediction number to the bottom of the data grid. This simply takes the previous days numbers and grows them at the previous day's growth rate. The death numbers really seem to be fluctuating, I doubt we see another 540 deaths reported today which if that holds means we will see a decline in numbers and growth rate...that's good!
Cases look to be consistent and will probably exceed yesterday in number and growth.
