Seems to be his style to turn on some in these situations. Or does Desantis have a sit down amd back away?

Hopefully not, but trump doesn't care about the success of the GOP, he cares about himself.

If he sees desantis as a threat to his media attention, he will turn on him.

I think Team Trump already shot across the bow of Desantis with the comments by Meadows yesterday.

HHTM- I do like you. And we usually agree. But I see nothing whatsoever that is noble about caring about the success of the GOP.

As far as politics goes- I have 2 concerns- the success of my state and, the success of my country. I want them run well and sensibly and I want to support politicians who share that goal. I don’t remotely care about the success of the GOP- and when it comes right down to it - I care even less for politicians who prioritize the success of the GOP.

Why on Earth would DeSantis let Trump dictate anything at this point?

You're the most predictable poster on this board. As the moon finishes it cycle so does your flippening begin. Like clockwork you'll be banging the Trump drum again soon enough and pretending to be MAGA. Sad!

It's probably best if they operate siloed and Trump just ultimately decides not to run. If they're put on a collision course it'll be terrible for Desantis (and everyone). And even if Trump brings him into his circle, that tends to not work out well for any but the most deferential.

If he gets at odds with Trump, regardless of whether it's over substance or more likely stemming from Trump's ego, it'd be a disaster. You'd probably see 70% this board turning on a guy who on paper may be the best conservative candidate in a generation.

DeSantis is next. Trump needs to step back. I think many will agree.
