Now being reported all over MSM that his parents (foster parents he was staying with) called the cops because he was threatening to shoot people. They also said he had held a gun to someone's head (I assume theirs).

And we have that douchebag Sheriff last night saying he never had enough to act on.

The only way possible, that he wasn't charged with a felony,or domestic violence crime,is that the parents let him off the hook.
He should have been charged (maybe he was) and the parents didn't show at court.
He should not have been able under current law to buy a firearm.

Don’t worry. Sheriff said he’s looking into it and anyone that did wrong will get a few paid days off and have to clean this piss and vomit out of all the patrol cars for a month

I'm calling b.s. on the gun to the head thing. If he did point a gun up to someone's head and that incident was reported, and verified, there would be an official record of that in Florida.....unless it was as a juvenile, but even then there would be an arrest record and I don't know of a cop alive that would not have taken someone into custody for something like that

He must have owned some evil guns. Totally their fault they got pointed at his parents.

If the cops had walked in on him, with a gun pointed at his parents, somebody would have probably been dead. I think he had put the gun down before the cops arrived,so they never actually saw him pointing the gun...so they can't really testify that they saw it.
Without the parents testimony, there is no conviction, but there should be an arrest record, unless it has been wiped out somehow.

How many city cops you know? We had cops filling “incident reports” for years here in St. Louis to avoid crime reporting statistics. Rape, robbery, murder, etc.

His voice drives me crazy enough to want him waterboarded. I hate that Yankee accent and attitude. That's your typical South Floridian though.

Dude failed. He needs to be fired.

If it was husband pointing at wife it would have been an immediate arrest. Sadly, kid v. parents doesn't carry the same weight in our society.

Yet the brief interview I heard from them after the incident was that they were shocked. “He told his brother he was going to the movies”

Just the few seconds I heard of that interview made me very angry at his parents/guardians. This whole situation stinks.

Good Lord man, if this is true how on earth can this community lecture anyone - they are responsible. The parents, the local law enforcement, the FBI.

Host family who originally took in shooter after his mother's death warned local law enforcement that the 19-year-old had "used a gun against people before" and "has put the gun to others' heads in the past," according to records obtained by CNN.

Then why don't you ask the fricking Sheriff that was sitting two feet from you last night about this? I don't know, like a reporter is supposed to do? This is why the "fake news" tag sticks man, it is accurate. You aren't a reporter you are a damn engineer of a political agenda.
