It’s generally believed Boreing and Shapiro make $10-12 million per year through just the DailyWire. Shapiro with all his speaking engagements and endorsements probably clears $15 million annually easily.

This deal would have made Crowder by far the highest paid non-owner at the DW. Even after production costs Crowder was going to be taking home $5+ million per year. Guys like Matt Walsh and Michael Knowles don’t make anything close to that.

They offered $50 million for 4 years, with possibility of going to $75 million over 6.

I think it should be added for context that this was basically the production budget. It was $50 million for 4 years to cover production of his show (which DW would own in perpetuity) & paying his employees as well. DW would have gotten 100% of his merch sales, plus 100% of his ad reads. That's before even mentioning any of the penalties.

Say Crowder had 200k mug club subs at $10 a month and that's conservative. That's 2 million a month. Then it's another 1.5-2 million a year in ad reads. Now add in merch and owning all his content. 12.5 million a year is a garbage offer.

The best part about the whole interview was Pool said he asked Jeremy, "can I say Liz Cheney is a fat pig?" Jeremy said "no" and that was that.

I mean… I’m all about free speech and mocking neocons but DW is trying to be legit. Having your host call somebody a fat pig is not the best look. Walsh gets close.

How is he going to benefit from this?

He’s hoping to pull a portion of their subscriber base for the private enterprise he’s planning to launch later this year. And if his numbers about mugclub subscriptions are accurate (nearly 400k) this could easily get him 500k to start which already be nearly half of the DWs subscriber base. And given how much Les overhead he’d have her theoretically be making an absolutely shite ton of money.

Everybody could speculate all they wanted, but Steven didn’t say who it was. Daily Wire told on themselves and then sent Candice, Ben, etc…to attack him.

If you want to blame anyone, it was Jordan Peterson who supported Crowder on Twitter, and then deleted that tweet. That’s pretty much how everybody knew.

Yes, it's DW's fault.

It's high school drama at this point and I'm sick of hearing about this story neither side was right and neither side was wrong. They all just need to move on at this point.

before all of this went down I never thought independant conservative media made that much money. amount of money both parties are negotiating on is pretty big. granted not all the money would be going to crowder, after taxes and paying his team members-plus production costs-it would probably just be a few hundred thousand left over.

curious how much money Tim Pool makes. he has non stop donations coming in during his streams.

This was always Crowder's backup plan. That is why he registered the website back in mid-DEC and the twitter handle in 2020.

(You can change your Twt handle but they are so picked over by bots and trolls. I can almost guarantee you that was the same handle it was created with.)

Have we mentioned that DW tried to hire Crowders production manager behind his back after he rejected the initial offer?

IMO, that’s what pushed him to record the phone call with Jeremy

He never rejected any offer.

He said he wanted DW to resubmit a new offer sheet with his $30 million/yr guaranteed on it.

IOW, he was asking the company to negotiate against itself.

Which is batshit insane.

Shapiro covered that, iirc. They made an offer to a PM to join their films division. Crowder was CC'd. Crowder lied about it.

Another notch in the "Crowder is doing himself no favors" belt.

He wasn’t going to to sign the initial term sheet therefor rejecting it

Lol, he NEVER said that. In fact, he said he couldn’t get past the terms and wasn’t about the money. I do believe it had “something” to with the money offered but the terms is what pissed him off.

Tim pool had/read the email last night and crowder was not on it.

Crowder also said DW has done other things in the past but wouldn’t go into further detail.
